You've met them before. You remember the face, maybe even the conversation but the name's gone. MetHere is where you write it down. Name, place, a note if you want. Takes a few seconds. Next time you see them, the name's there before the moment gets awkward. Some people move through. You meet, you remember, eventually you swap numbers or social media. They graduate into your real contacts and leave MetHere. The app did its job. Some people stay. The barista who starts your order before you sit down. The guy at the front desk who waves you through. People you know but don't need in your phone. They live here. Walk by where you met and you'll be reminded. This started as a list on a phone. Every bartender, every manager, every hostess at every place in downtown Toronto. The list got massive. A friend saw it and started keeping one of his own. Now that idea has turned into an app. Your data stays on your device. No account, no cloud, no feed. MetHere lives in the middle ground between "I've met you" and "you're in my phone."
