The experience makes music education fun and challenging enough for a complete beginner or advanced musician. Basic Pitch is leading the way in becoming the standard ear training and sight singing platform for music education programs all around the world, coming to you in a gamified format. Ear training and sight-singing are critical components in every formal music education institution. Music theory concepts are rudimentary skills used by musicians in order to identify pitches, intervals, scales, chords, rhythms, and other basic elements of music. Moreover, sight-singing is the process by which a student reads and subsequently sings written music notation without prior exposure to the material. Ear training is analogous to writing a spoken text, much like taking dictation. Sight-singing is analogous to reading a written text aloud. All of the skills mentioned above are fundamental elements of music education, and can be explored in a fun and easy way with the Basic Pitch application.
