Cryptical is now using a new version numbering scheme (year + release number of that year). So don't be surprised to see a sudden jump from version 4 to version 2021 ;-) New features: • Character inclusions. You can select individual characters that should always be used when generating a random password. Note that this will impact the randomness of the password and make it less secure. • For passphrases, there is a new separator option, "Random symbol", which will separate passphrases with a randomly generated symbol (!@#$%^ etc.)

With sufficient length, they are as secure or even more secure than passwords, but much easier to memorise. For added security, you can include mixed upper/lowercase characters and substitute letters with numbers. Please note that Cryptical now requires iOS 9, which is admittedly quite a difference to the previous requirement of iOS 3.1.3. So if you're still clinging to that old iPhone 3G of yours, let go. It's also still rather darkish in case you're allergic to bright light (see, I'm thinking of you, system admins!) - Password list is now an actual database rather than a flat XML file. - Passcode and Touch-ID protection in the app can be set to protect you from eavesdropping by strangers using your phone. - App shortcuts via 3D-Touch on iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus. - The password list supports "Peek" and "Pop" on iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus. - Password details: add notes to each password, and show meta data (creation date, length, strength) - New "Share" shortcut lets you share your newly generated password(s) with other apps and/or people. Just don't tweet your new Email password by accident, ok? - Batch password generation. Ever needed 100 unique passwords at once? Well now you can create them without much hassle. - Completely rewritten from the ground up, in Swift! I'm not kidding. Percentage of old code in this release: 0%. Including snarky code comments. Minor stuff: - Included characters types can now be changed directly on the generator type rather than having to open settings to do this. - Some improvements to the password generator engine Also Cryptical is now FREE! When it is activated, Cryptical will use each character only once per Password, making it more secure. Added a print function for devices that support AirPrint: To print, add Passwords to your Password List, open the list, choose which Passwords to print, and touch the print symbol in the bottom toolbar. Please note that printing will only work on devices that support AirPrint.
