This release introduces the Shelf Reading feature to help student workers shelve books in the correct order. Student workers can scan an item and get back a list of the next 50 items in call number order. Items can be checked off as present or missing, and a report can be generated. Any out of order items can be scanned to determine its correct status (return to desk, reshelve, etc.).

This release introduces the "Check Out Items" feature that allows staff to loan items using a mobile device and share a due date receipt with the patron. This streamlined checkout feature reduces staff and patron in person interaction by supporting curbside pickup services, reduce the time staff spend at shared workstations, and more.

Digby 2.0.0 improves the user authentication process and security by using the PKCE OAuth 2.0 standard. It also includes minor improvements for iOS 13 compatibility.

Before installing Digby 1.9.1, you need to export your library’s local lists (the Change Item Location List and Inventory Items List). Digby 1.9.1 will upgrade internal storage. Four local lists will be reset by this upgrade and their contents lost on the device. No data in WMS is affected by this, and no work will be lost in the database. Future Digby releases will not reset the lists.

This release provides fixes for Bluetooth scanners truncating long barcodes and for scanners becoming unresponsive after going into sleep mode.

This release introduces the “Change Item Location” feature for updating the permanent or temporary location of monographs. To use it, your Digby user account will need an appropriate staff role (see oc.lc/DigbyRoles). Also, new to Pull Lists is the ability to filter by hold type (e.g., Special Requests, Schedules, etc.), and easily identify holds generated by WorldShare Acquisitions or ZFL-Server via the new “External System Request” indicator. Finally, we’ve removed iOS 9 support with Apple’s introduction of iOS 12.

This release introduces the ability to search WorldCat Discovery from within Digby, making it possible to readily check the library’s catalog while away from the circulation desk and without exiting the Digby app.
