A bug-fix release, mostly for the editor and syncing. Fixes - Typing a title right after opening a new note no longer drops its first letters. - Sync no longer keeps a live connection running after you switch away from the app. - Sync does its network work in the background, so the app stays responsive while it syncs. - Pasting plain text keeps its line breaks and spacing. Pasting a table with only a header row, or a block of text into a heading, list item or table cell, now lands where you expect. - Typed formatting follows Markdown's rules more closely. A backslash-escaped symbol stays as text, URLs keep their underscores and asterisks, and seven # signs no longer make a heading. - Select all followed by Code block or Bullet list keeps every line. - Pressing Enter at the start of a quote keeps the empty line it makes. Splitting a checked task starts the new item unchecked. - Keyboard shortcuts held with Shift while Caps Lock is on no longer run the shortcut without Shift, such as undoing when you meant to redo. - Moving the cursor around a note with front matter no longer gets stuck above it. - Find and [[ link suggestions now match Greek words ending in sigma.

A follow-up to 1.9.0: everyone can now pick a second app icon, and we fixed several bugs in syncing, naming notes and the editor. What's new - Every install can now choose the Reversed app icon (white mole on orange) in Settings, no license needed. A license still unlocks the other icons. Fixes - Sync now stops trusting a certificate authority as soon as you remove it from your device. Before, a sync connection that was already open could keep working until you restarted the app. - Naming a note the same as another note (even with different capitalization, like "Test" and "test") now warns you and keeps your text. - On iPhone running iOS 26, the find bar no longer opens hidden behind the keyboard. - Under-the-hood fixes and cleanup.

Everything works a bit better than it used to. Search is improved and more intuitive. The editor behaves better when sync tries to change a note. Everything is a little faster.

Editor • Swipe from the left edge to go back while editing a note. • A long note title no longer stretches the editor past the edge of the screen. • Added a Link button to the editor toolbar. • Tap a link to follow it, and tap a wikilink to jump straight to that note — with a back gesture to return. • Wikilink autocomplete suggests existing notes as you type. • Text selection now uses the standard iOS selection handles and menu. • Images no longer get clipped, and they resize correctly once loaded. • You can now place the cursor past the end of a link that wraps to the next line. • Fixed crashes when a note's contents changed while you had it open. Notes and folders • Rename and move folders. • Quick capture: start a new note in one tap, and rename it by tapping the title inline. • Clearer feedback when a title contains characters that aren't allowed. • Note previews in the list no longer intercept taps, and the delete confirmation is centered. Sync • Your edits are saved reliably when you switch away from the app. • If another device deletes the note you have open, it now closes instead of leaving a stale copy. • Deleted notes no longer come back. • Sync stops safely if it can't read your notes, rather than syncing a partial set. • Fixed a bug that could create large numbers of duplicate conflict copies. • Sync sessions recover on their own after expiring, with no need to reconnect. Other • Faster search when you first open the app. • Added a way to report a problem from Settings.
