Blue Hound now supports devices without a built-in GPS receiver. Note: The outdoor heat map and direction finding features require GPS location accuracy. The scanner, information view and signal strength meter works with any iOS device.

The scanner list will not update when it has been scrolled to prevent beacons from jumping around. Improved power saver mode. Tilt your phone down 45 degrees to darken the screen and up 45 degrees to restore it. When you search for text in the scanner, you will only be notified when new matching devices are discovered.

You are now only able to search for devices that you have found in the past. You will not be able to see devices found by other users. This change was made in order to comply with Apple's App Store guidelines.

A long press on the description in the information view will now show the manufacturer data. Option to display the signal strength in Settings. Several other small improvements and bug fixes you probably won't notice.

Blue Hound has been trained to bark when it finds a new device (or tweet, or ping or vibrate). You can turn on the New Device Alert in the Settings app for Blue Hound. This feature is handy when you are walking with your phone in your pocket in low power mode. In crowded environments, such as the mall on a weekend, Blue Hound will show fewer devices which have not yet been identified. It makes the list easier to read and helps the app work better.
