Fixed a problem exporting paint papers with transparent background.

Guided by feedback, this release has major enhancements that make the Paint Tool easier to use. Plus a few minor improvements such as moving the share button to the top nav.

General improvements to make app easier to use. Recently added papers: Concentric Hexagon, Pineapple, Apple Core, Coffin, Pentagon and House.

A new Jewel Ring paper (in-app purchase) has been added. Control pattern by varying height, width and angles of a jewel. Array of jewel rings can be separated with sashing. Great for EPP. Reports all shape parameters of jewels created.   Also fixed a printing problem for iOS 16 users.

In response to a quilter who contacted us, new tiles added to InApp Purchase paper ARC.

• SVG format added. Now every graph paper can be shared as either an SVG, PDF or PNG. Adding SVG expands the number of design programs or or devices that can accept a graph paper for further editing or as DIY templates to laser or other pattern cutting machines. • Expansion of Paint tool custom palettes (used to color a grid.) In addition to picking colors from the color wheel or entering an RGB or HSB value, colors can now be picked from an image or a live camera scan. An unlimited number of palettes can be named and saved — all available to any other paper. Painted grids shared to another device with QuiltPaper will include its palettes.

New triangle paper! • Create triangle paper for any size HST (Half Square Triangle). • Create templates for HRT (Half Rectangle Triangle). Template already shows the clipped corners for easier assembly. PLUS: Painting enhanced to allow multiple color palettes to be used with a graph paper.

Big thank you to the quilt designers who made these thoughtful suggestions — • Pinwheel added as the newest graph paper. Build a unique design from a large number of patterns. • Add up to eight borders. (Previously limit was up to 4 borders.) • Paint enhanced so that the grid itself can be hidden.

Fix to color palettes.

Art quilters asked for this feature — Can I put a grid over an inspiration image to help plan an art quilt? YES! Now you can overlay an image with ANY grid pattern. Play with the grid layout as you play with the image using pinch-n-zoom and drag to place the image ‘just right’ under your layout. Once you are satisfied, open in Paint to mark-up or abstract into colors. Print it. Share it. The how-to video shows how easy it is to use this feature. MORE PAPERS! On the purchase of a fourth paper the bundle is instantly purchased!) CIRCLES. Combine 3 levels of circles in two patterns or work with 3 unique pattern layouts to plan circle quilt designs. Use exact sizing to create paper piecing templates. ARCS. Build a grid of any size using a library of 128 block patterns. Add Sashing and Borders to complete your unique quilt design. SQUARES. This new paper makes custom design of block quilts even more fun. Playing with the special settings makes it so easy to create unique layouts. Choose from 5 patterns and then use Division to divide blocks into 1, 4, 9, 16 patch blocks — horizontal, vertical, horizontal and vertical or diagonal. Finish up with just a tap to add Sashing with cornerstones and Borders.

Papers with Brick layouts have been added by request. Create a grid with either a row or column layout. Add border and sashing to complete the design. Of course exact size bricks can be made to create English Paper Piecing templates. Now Grids can be specified by setting the number of Rows and Columns. Hopefully requestors will find using this option much easier than playing with sizes and margins. Interested but not sure? Just added POLYGON PAPER for piecers! Set points and size to create the exact shape needed for templates. Use orientation and split shapes to plan a unique quilt design. And an update for everyone. The number of new papers just keeps growing as we hear from quilters about their projects. We realized it must be getting tedious to add papers. One. at. a. time. With this release there is a new bundle — purchase 5 papers (or buy the bundle up front) and every current paper and future papers are instantly unlocked. It's only fair — the bundle price is adjusted for papers that have previously been purchased AND if you have bought 5 papers you'll see all papers are unlocked after you upgrade to this release!

Finding files will be SO MUCH easier now! Thanks to comments from our users we got a good understanding of their specific concerns and we believe this version is the answer. The biggest change is that Grids and Paint papers are no longer listed under separate tabs. Now, each Paper has a single list showing both grids and Paint pages (a badge identifies Paint Pages). **PLUS** a new file folder feature has been added to the main screen. Tap the file folder to see a list of ALL the grids and paint pages across every type of paper (a badge identifies Paint Pages). ALSO — An improvement has been made to Paint pages text feature. Now, when editing a note, just a tap in an area with no note will make the keyboard go away.

Bug fix. Fixed a problem when selecting a particular color for painting.

Thank you to quilters who have written with suggestions… and complaints! We’re listening. This release includes updates to make the app easier to use, new help videos — AND all these new features: Paintbox added to Coloring! Build a custom palette for painting grids by choosing specific colors or selecting a related shade. Coloring line annotation now displays length and angle as a line is drawn. Borders! Every paper has been updated with controls to add up to 4 borders. Creative quilt designers will appreciate that each side can be set to a different width. English Paper Piecing quilters will appreciate a new feature — add a center mark to each piece! EPP quilters are finding that it is easier to remove papers if a center hole is cut in each template so a small stick can be slipped in to help pull out the paper. Log Cabin grids! The unique controls make it possible to create custom layouts or copy classic ones. Build your grid using a library of block patterns; chose patch layout 3x3, 6x6, etc; select a set of blocks to create a repeat pattern; add sashing with cornerstones and up to 4 borders. A special shading feature makes it easier to see block patterns and rotations to help designers get the grid ‘just right’. Jewel grids! A choice of layouts make creating unique grids fun. Then, once the design is finished, create papers with a jewel piece set to the actual, exact size and create paper piecing templates!

Exact sizing added to Dot papers so makers can create just right spacing for projects. Now a standard feature of Dot papers, thanks to a request from a lace designer. Expanded standard features to include text and line annotations on paint pages.

New feature added to basic app thanks to thoughtful insights from users! In addition to coloring a grid, now you can also add notes and lines as annotations. Annotate using a choice of text colors and size -- simply drag to reposition. Draw lines using a choice of colors, width -- then drag to re-position. Just a tap toggles the display of annotations and lines to let you see the colored grid underneath.

Thank you for writing — we've made these improvements based on requests! QuiltPaper has added a new feature included with the basic app: • Export paint page as a PDF (needed to import into many design apps) PLUS – these enhancements: • Expanded Triangle paper to better control sashing.
