Introducing Helios 5.0!
This massive release brings a refined and bold new look with liquid glass design, completely reimagined navigation, and a stunning new sun and moon visualization on the outlook screen. We've streamlined the entire app experience, merging tabs for simpler navigation while adding beautiful information cards including an integrated map and Look Around view.
Here's everything that's new:
- Outlook and Places are now unified into a single screen showing both your current location and all saved places. The app still launches into your current location's outlook, with your full places list just a tap away.
- Tools tab has been removed for a cleaner experience. The Map Explorer now lives in the toolbar and works for both searching new places and exploring sun and moon positions. Live View (formerly AR Lens) and Light Meter are also in the toolbar, appearing only for your current location and fading away for saved places.
- Current location outlook features a stunning new realistic and highly detailed sun and moon visualization. The screen now includes additional information cards like map view and Look Around, giving you a richer sense of any place, especially useful for your saved locations.
- Map Explorer now integrates with search and provides an improved line-based visualization showing current sun and moon positions along with golden hour, blue hour, sunrise, and sunset times. The simpler ray-based view remains available in the layers sheet.
- Live Viewfinder includes improved graphics that are more pleasant and refined.
- Light Meter has been redesigned with a more information-dense layout, giving more space to the camera view.
- Location search has been improved to return better and more relevant results.
