Refinements made to the Contrast Tester

Fixed size of RGB input values in the contrast tester tool.

Links tool updates: - shows a warning for generic links like "click here", "read more", etc. - shows a failure for inline links with no underline or other style besides color. - shows the ARIA name for generic text links if present. - shows warning if the target of an in-page link such as a skip link is not focusable with the keyboard. - shows a failure if an in-page link target does not exist on page.

New WCAG 2.2 checklist widget. - Toggle Level A, AA, AAA. - Search to filter success criteria. - Expand to read normative wording of criterion. - Click the Link icon to open each Understanding Document. - Check the checkbox to mark your progress conforming to WCAG. - Expand all criteria to read normative requirements. - Your progress is saved between sessions.

Broken Link Checker tool. RGB checkbox added to contrast tester to show RGB values in addition to the HEX values. Tip about using the macOS Digital Color Meter added for when the Safari eye dropper tool can't pick the correct color. Reflow tool now only opens main page rather than each iframe.

New Make Content Editable tool. This allows you to copy the text from a webpage to do a spell check or paste a screenshot into the webpage so you can do a manual color contrast test on the image. Contrast Tester provides warning about picking the color of a visited link.

Fixed bug in Links tool.

Iframes tool now shows an error for iframes that use tabindex=-1 to block focus but contain focusable elements. Large Text tool is now keyboard operable using the Arrow Keys to position the widget or Page Up/Page Down to move in greater increments and Home and End key to move to the beginning and end of the page.

ARIA tool now shows a warning for div and span elements that use aria- attributes without also using a role attribute. New Links tool that shows link elements without HREF attributes or accessible names. New Keyboard tool that shows errors for controls with mouse events or role=button that are not keyboard operable.

Forms tool now shows an orange warning for Fieldset elements that have no Legend.

ARIA tool now shows errors on controls that have accessible names that do not include their visible label text as required by WCAG's Label in Name success criterion.

Lists tool now shows errors for list item elements missing a parent container and for list container elements missing child list item elements.

Validate DOM tool now opens less new tabs for pages with multiple iframes.

New Large Text tool in the right-click context menu to test if low contrast text is large enough to have a 3:1 contrast ratio rather than a 4.5:1 ratio for normal text. You dblclick/move the Large Text box over the text you need to test. Idea from Jim Thatcher's Favelets.

Small improvements made to the a11y Tools. New WCAG Text Spacing testing tool. Reflow 320 and Text Spacing added to a11yTools Safari Button Bar Menu.

Headings tool now tests for Empty headings and aria-hidden=true headings errors. Headings tool now has emoji symbols for display:none, aria-hidden, and empty headings errors.

Data Tables tool now displays ARIA data table attributes. Data Tables tool error now shown for TD cells using scope attributes.

Reverting the previous change of using HTML_CodeSniffer locally because of many CSS bugs. tota11y runs from the local hard drive but CodeSniffer will stay pulling from an external server and may not work on more secure sites.

tota11y and HTML_CodeSniffer now run from your local hard drive rather than from an external server which means these tools will now work on a wider variety of sites with higher security settings that previously prevented them from running.

Tabindex tool now displays an orange ? warning around elements with CSS overflow:scroll or auto if they don't have a tabindex="0".  This test looks for scrollable containers that may not be keyboard focusable/scrollable if they have no internal focusable elements. Reflow 320 tool added to the right-click context menu, it opens the current page and all its iframes in a new window that is 320px wide to test for WCAG Reflow failures.

Landmarks tool updated to show aria-label and aria-labelledby values. Landmarks tool updated to show section or role=region elements if aria-label or aria-labelledby are present. header and footer elements are not shown as landmarks if they are children of section elements. axe-core updated to 4.5.2
