- Password-protected Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers and Keynote files now open when you enter the password

- Search shows which match you are on and how many there are - Long documents and PDFs open faster - Words in Word documents no longer run together - A missing font is replaced with a similar one

- Edit and save CSV files - A PDF prints as the original file, one page per sheet - Printing starts on the paper size and orientation of the document, such as A4 or landscape

- Colour the cells of a spreadsheet - Spaces and tabs stay exactly as you typed them - Spreadsheet colours show correctly, also in dark mode - For your privacy, a document no longer loads images from the internet

- You can now edit your documents, with undo, redo and save right in the bar - Highlight text in a PDF and save it back - Presentations, Excel files and plain text files can be edited and saved as well, and a spreadsheet cell opens with a single tap - PDFs open faster, more of them open at all, and selecting text in them is more precise

- Word documents show table borders, keep pictures where you placed them, and break to a new page where they should - Charts, shapes and older drawings now show up in documents, and lines in PDFs come out the width they were drawn - Documents fit the screen when you open them, and text stays the size the document gives it - Very large spreadsheets open instead of stopping, and password protected files open for reading only

- Zip files open and show what's inside, and photos, text, rich text and Markdown files open too - Files that won't open now say why, instead of showing a blank page - Documents you edit and save open in LibreOffice again - Slides keep their colours, and links in a document open in the browser - PDFs open faster, zoom smoothly, and text you couldn't select or search now works - Tall spreadsheets keep many more rows before they stop

- Password protected Word, Excel and PowerPoint files now say so instead of just refusing to open - Text copied from a PDF comes out as readable words, highlighting works, and more PDFs open - Repeating table headers stay in place, wide pictures fit the screen, and images in Word and Excel files show again - Long documents open at the top of the first page on iPad

- Documents follow your light or dark appearance - PDFs can be searched, and password protected ones ask for the password like other documents - PDFs show what was filled into their forms, and scanned pages are no longer blank - Tapping a document while editing puts the cursor there, and saving is now on the bar rather than in the menu - LibreOffice's flat XML documents and Excel templates open from the document browser instead of being greyed out - The three welcome pages are gone, so the app opens straight on your documents

- A document opens fitted to the screen instead of running off the edge - The buttons above a document no longer sit on the status bar, and the empty band below them is gone - Editing a document is a pencil next to the search button, rather than something to find in the menu - The way back to your documents is a chevron, as everywhere else

- Slides show text that used to be invisible - Pictures sit where the document puts them: centred where the file centres them, and inside their frame instead of adrift in the text - Documents built on a template keep the margins it leaves free, such as the room a letterhead needs - Spreadsheet cells use the font the file names for them - Large documents take less memory to open - A document whose styles are built on one another many levels deep opens instead of closing the app

- Editing and saving a document no longer damages it - CSV files open as spreadsheets, with the separator worked out from the file - Word documents break onto the pages they were written for, and numbered lists keep their markers when you copy text out of one - Spreadsheets are drawn in a quieter grid, under a row and column ruler that stays put while scrolling - Documents keep the side margins of a printed page - Documents with pictures open faster and use less memory - XML files open properly laid out instead of as one long line - The free app asks for advertising consent where that is required, and a new Privacy entry reopens the choice at any time - The paid app no longer contains Google's advertising code

- Legacy Word, Excel and PowerPoint files (.doc, .xls, .ppt) are read by our own implementation, with character formatting, cell fonts and fills, pictures, slide sizes and slide names - Better support for Word tables and line breaks, Excel merged cells and value types, and PowerPoint slide sizes and tables - ODF documents: subscript and superscript, percentage line height, first-line indent - Pages are rendered when you open them, so documents with many pages, slides or sheets open faster - Rewritten page tabs: readable in dark mode, no longer pushed off screen by a long sheet name, and usable with VoiceOver - More reliable file type detection - More privacy: your documents never leave your device, and the app sends us no usage data - Several crashes fixed, and failures are now reported instead of ending the app - Requires iOS 15 or later
