Florida saltwater and freshwater fishing regulations that work where you actually fish - out of signal, on the water, with wet hands.
Look up any species and see what the rule is: minimum and maximum sizes, slot limits, bag limits, seasons and gear requirements. Where state and federal waters differ, both are shown and labelled, so you know which one applies to where you are.
FRESHWATER TOO
Switch between Florida Saltwater and Florida Freshwater from the title. The freshwater side carries the statewide bag and length limits for black bass, panfish, crappie, striped bass, peacock bass, shad and eel, the special limits on named lakes and rivers, and the rules for the Fish Management Areas - each water on its own page, so at the boat ramp you can see what differs there. 44 freshwater species with FWC's own identification notes and original full-colour illustrations. Photo ID knows the basses, sunfishes, crappie and catfishes.
EVERYTHING WORKS OFFLINE
The regulations and more than 230 species illustrations are built into the app. No signal, no problem - nothing is fetched while you are reading.
STAYS CURRENT BY ITSELF
The app quietly checks for regulation updates and applies them in the background. When something changes, it tells you exactly which species and what changed, rather than leaving you to spot it.
FIND THE FISH
Search by name, or browse by category - snappers, groupers, jacks, sharks, drums and the rest. Every species carries a full-colour illustration you can tap to fill the screen and pinch to zoom.
KNOW WHAT YOU CAUGHT
Identification notes for every species: how to tell it apart, what it is easily confused with, where it is found, typical and record sizes, and how it eats.
PHOTO ID
Not sure what you caught? Take or choose a photo and the app suggests the most likely species, then shows your photo beside the illustration and the identification notes so you confirm it yourself before opening the regulation. Look-alikes are always shown together with how to tell them apart. It runs entirely on your phone - no signal needed, and your photos are never uploaded.
WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
Regulations are extracted from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's published rules at myfwc.com and reviewed before each release. The app always shows the date of the data it is holding, so you can judge for yourself how current it is.
Always verify with FWC before fishing. Regulations change, and no app is a substitute for the official rules.
Free, supported by a single banner ad. Photo ID includes three free identifications each day; FL SW Regs Unlimited, a one-time purchase, removes the ad and the limit. The regulations themselves are free for everyone, always. No account, no sign-up, and no location tracking.
