The Tao te Ching of Lao Tzu is among the wisest books ever written and one of the greatest gifts ever given to humankind. In the handful of pages that make up the Tao te Ching, there is an answer to each of life’s questions, a solution to every predicament, a balm for any wound. It is less a book than a living, breathing angel.
Brian Browne Walker’s contemporary translations of Taoist classics have received high marks for their simplicity, clarity, and accessibility. This beautiful and functional app, which you can read in a linear fashion like a book or receive random readings from, and which allows you to email any selection to a friend with the click of a button, will be a beloved friend for years.

The two versions of this app (one paid upfront and one free to download) have been merged into this single app for simplicity. The new, integrated version now contains half the book for free so that one can use and get a good feel for the app. From there, an IAP then gives the user the full content of the book for ongoing use, as well as access to journaling, customization of the app's wallpapers, and other features.
If you purchased the book’s content in the past, your purchase can be preserved with a FREE in-app purchase that will be offered within the app. Ensuring iCloud is enabled when you run the app will ensure the smoothest transition. If the app does not detect your previous purchase, please contact support.
