Okta Verify is a lightweight app that is used to register your device to Okta. Registering your device to Okta gives you passwordless authentication to apps, strong device-level security, and more.

After a one-time registration process using Okta Verify, you may experience a modified login experience to your Okta apps, based on your organization's settings.
Okta values your privacy. Okta Verify does not store any personal information. Your organization will not be able to view personal information after your device has been registered.

Okta admins can allow macOS users to create a new local account by simply entering their Okta username and Okta password in the macOS login window. This feature enables easier account management for admins and streamlines the user account creation process for end users, which is especially beneficial for devices or workstations that support multiple users. 是真的鸡肋

如果换了手机或者不小心卸载后，就登陆不上学校网站了，很麻烦😡。耽误了好几天，会有作业要due，因为这个Okta交不了作业。在这一块不得不说是真的很垃圾。危险倒没防住，倒是防住了本人呢😀😀

Okta Verify works by binding to your physical phone hardware and the installed software instance. Okta Verify only works on one device for each Okta account. Uninstalling Okta Verify, Changing Phones, Transferring or Restoring your Phone Data, using Mobile Phone Cleaning Apps, or Resetting your Phone are some of the things that may result in the binding being broken between your phone and Okta Verify, and you will need to re-enroll your device in Okta Verify. To do this, you’ll need to contact your organization's IT department.

However, you may be able to reset Okta Verify yourself. Check out https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/Resetting-your-Okta-Verify-Token?language=en_US. If you're unable to follow the steps in this document, or the option to select another factor isn't available, then please contact your IT Department and they will be able to assist you and get you up and running.
