A Quadratic regression Equation can capture non-linear relationships between variables by fitting a non-linear regression line, which may not be possible with simple linear regression equation.
It is used when linear regression models may not adequately capture the complexity of the relationship. Especially the data falls into U shaped curve(parabolic shape), it will be more meaningful with more data.
It is can be used for predicting the expected value within the range of data.
It is useful in various fields, such as finance, physics, engineering, and social sciences, where there may be nonlinear relationships between variables.
Together with the linear regression equation, it is a great tool to visualize the whole picture of the data analysis.
