You hit record, share your screen, and you disappear. Your viewers hear your voice over slides or code, but the human connection is gone.
FaceCam puts your face back on screen in a clean, floating camera bubble that stays above every window and full-screen Space—while QuickTime, macOS Screenshot (⇧⌘5), OBS, Loom, Zoom, or any screen recorder captures everything together. FaceCam doesn't record or upload anything itself; it simply keeps your live camera on screen where you want it.
How to Use:
1. Open FaceCam — your live camera appears in a floating bubble on screen.
2. Open QuickTime, macOS Screenshot (⇧⌘5), OBS, Zoom, or any screen recorder.
3. Hit record! Drag the bubble anywhere, snap it to any corner, or press ⌃⌥H to hide or show it mid-recording.

• Custom Borders & Opacity: Add a crisp colored border (0–10 pt) and adjust bubble transparency (30%–100%) so underlying content stays visible.
• Pro Global Shortcuts: Switch shapes (⌃⌥S), resize larger/smaller (⌃⌥U / ⌃⌥D), or cycle cameras (⌃⌥C) on the fly without leaving your app.

Hi, this is Grace, the developer of FaceCam! Welcome to FaceCam 2.0 — a big update to make recording with your floating face bubble smoother and more flexible.
Here’s what’s new:
- Settings That Stick: Your shape, size, zoom, mirror, and camera choice are now saved automatically, and the Circle shape is a true circle.
- Camera Picker & Launch at Login: Easily switch between cameras in Settings and optionally open FaceCam automatically at login.
- Menu Bar Quick Controls: Show or hide the bubble, change shapes or sizes, toggle mirror, or snap the bubble to any screen corner right from the menu bar.
- Global Hide / Show Shortcut: Press Control + Option + H from any app to hide or show your bubble mid-recording, and keep it visible across Spaces and full-screen apps.
- FaceCam Pro: Optional upgrade unlocking custom borders, bubble opacity, a name label, a built-in ring light for dim rooms, and global shortcuts for switching shapes, sizes, and cameras on the fly.
