AirDSP is now a supported equalizer in Room EQ Wizard. Select your amplifier in REW's EQ panel and its auto EQ works inside your amp's real limits - filters transfer to the app with nothing to adjust. - Low Pass Q and High Pass Q now stop at Q = 1.00, matching the REW entry exactly - Delay snaps to whole samples: the number you read is the delay that plays (7.15 mm per step at 48 kHz) - Chart CSV export lands exactly on REW's frequency grid, no accumulating drift - First-order filters no longer show a Q that does nothing - Small fixes: confirmation button colors, and the Check permissions button no longer appears on desktop

An accuracy update: the response chart now shows exactly what your amplifier does, REW import got smarter and more honest, and there are four new EQ band types. • Response curves are now computed the same way your amplifier computes them, at your profile's sample rate. EQ bands, crossovers, and Bessel filters all draw precisely where the hardware puts them. • REW filter import supports more filter types, including adjustable-Q shelves (LS Q, HS Q), all-pass filters, and low-pass and high-pass filters. If anything in your file cannot be transferred, you now see exactly what and why before anything is committed. • Four new EQ band types: Low Pass and High Pass, 1st order or 2nd order with adjustable Q. Build an acoustic target with gentle roll-offs right next to your EQ corrections and see the combined result on the chart. • Chart CSV export now uses a fixed 1/48-octave frequency grid anchored at 1 kHz, and includes the FIR response. • Back by popular demand: the deselect-all X returns to the Channels header for faster tuning, alongside Reset.

A tuning-workflow update: faster muting and soloing, a cleaner Channels panel, and a one-tap channel reset. • Solo and Mute in the Channels header. Select the channels you want, tap Solo to hear them on their own, then tap again to bring your full mix back exactly as it was. Mute works the same way. • A cleaner Channels header. The title sits on its own row with a single control bar (copy, reset, mute, solo), and the larger controls now match the desktop app. • Reset a channel from the header. Return the selected channels to factory defaults in one step, after a quick confirm. It clears gain, delay, routing, mute, crossovers, FIR, the 15-band EQ, and the channel name. This also fixes Reset Channel in the editor, which used to leave the EQ untouched. • Easier group editing. Long-press a group to update it to your current channel selection. • Presets remember exactly what you hear. AWAY FROM YOUR AMP Open AirDSP somewhere your amplifier is not on the network and it now takes you to the device list within a few seconds instead of holding on a "Reconnecting" screen. Open it again soon after and it skips the wait entirely. When your amp is on the network, it still opens straight to it. ADDING YOUR FIRST DEVICE The device list now shows an Add Device button whenever it's empty, so first-time setup can start right away instead of waiting out a scan. A MORE CONSISTENT LOOK Small visual refinements across the tuning screen: the fine-tuner, the filter and slope menus, and the FIR controls now share a cleaner, brand-consistent style. This update is all about speed. Opening the app, switching presets, and loading FIR filters are all dramatically faster. YOUR AMP IS THERE THE MOMENT YOU OPEN THE APP AirDSP now remembers your amplifiers and reconnects to them directly instead of rescanning the network every time. Opening the app takes you straight back to the device you were using, usually in well under a second. The "Scanning for devices" wait is gone from everyday use, and the connection now recovers on its own after Wi-Fi hiccups, network changes, or a long stay in the background. PRESET SWITCHING IS NEARLY INSTANT Switching between presets that share the same FIR filter now takes about a tenth of a second, fast enough for true A/B listening. Switching between FIR and non-FIR presets completes in under a second, in both directions. A preset now counts as loaded the moment you can hear it, with verification finishing quietly in the background. FIR FILTERS LOAD IN A FRACTION OF THE TIME Applying a FIR filter now takes about 2 seconds instead of 5 to 7. If the connection drops mid-apply, AirDSP automatically picks up where it left off when the amp comes back. A new indicator in the FIR Vault shows exactly which channels a filter will apply to. CLEANER AUDIO WHILE YOU MAKE CHANGES Filter transitions now ride a brief, gentle volume dip, which removes the pops you could previously hear when switching FIR presets. Also fixed a rare case where a freshly loaded preset's FIR filter could be silently inactive until reapplied. POLISH AND FIXES Smoother opening animation, the active preset's highlight persists across restarts, refined faders and controls, better contrast in the crossover and FIR builder sections, and a fix for bass tone settings occasionally not reloading with a preset. We've made some improvements to the overall user experience. A faster, smoother start AirDSP now opens with a single splash screen instead of two, connects to your amplifier a little faster, and feels more responsive as you move around the app. Muted channels stay muted Fixed a rare issue where a channel you had muted could start playing again after the amplifier restarted or came out of standby, even though the app still showed it as muted. A summer release that ties off a months-long design pass and adds the most-requested tuning tool yet. ALL-PASS FILTERS IN THE 15-BAND EQ You can now place 1st- and 2nd-order all-pass filters on any of the 15 EQ bands. All-pass filters don't change the frequency response. They rotate phase around a chosen frequency. That's the tool you reach for when you want a tweeter and a midrange to line up cleanly through their crossover, or to clean up the timing of a stack that was never built to be coherent. • AP1 rotates 180° across its frequency with the slope of a 1st-order pole. Set the frequency and you're done. • AP2 rotates 360° and is the workhorse for crossover phase alignment. A Q of 0.5 lines up with an LR2 crossover. A Q of 0.707 lines up with the more common LR4. AP bands show up in the EQ picker alongside peaking and shelf bands. The chart draws their phase response as a soft wash in the channel color so you can see exactly what each filter is doing, and a dotted band trace marks the rotation point. Magnitude stays exactly where you left it. ROOM EQ WIZARD IMPORTS NOW INCLUDE SHELVES The Room EQ Wizard importer now accepts low-shelf and high-shelf filters in addition to peaking filters. The typical "Match response to target" output, which often emits a low shelf and a high shelf alongside its peaks, now lands in AirDSP exactly the way REW measured it. No more hand-rebuilding shelves after every import. Filter types AirDSP cannot store, such as all-pass or modal bands, are skipped with a note in the preview so you always know what made it across and what didn't. The 15-band EQ also now exports each band with its actual filter type, so files written by AirDSP can be read directly by Equalizer APO, Music Assistant, CamillaDSP, and other parametric EQs that read REW's generic text format. A NEW LOOK This release is the destination of a design pass that started in the winter, drawn from the iconic look of vintage Japanese hi-fi gear. New teal accent color throughout. Lit faders. A recessed tone-fader cavity with overhead glow. An aluminum-cap power switch you drag to slide. Vintage gain and delay sliders. Redrawn LED meters. Rebuilt device cards. Every screen has been retouched to feel like a piece of real audio gear instead of a software panel. The static wordmark on launch has been replaced with a short, hypnotic video that plays as AirDSP opens. FIRMWARE v1.8.0 Every device updates to firmware v1.8.0 with this release. Two notable changes: • Your amp now works straight out of the box, even before you connect it to Wi-Fi. Plug in, hit power, music plays. • Overload protection now resets cleanly after a fault clears, so you no longer have to power-cycle the amp to get audio back. IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES • More reliable device discovery, with automatic recovery if a scan stalls or the device list gets stuck. • The fine-tuner's Reset link now closes the panel before showing the confirm dialog, so the confirm is never hidden behind it. • Switching a band type back to peaking now restores the previous gain instead of zeroing it. • Preset loads now clear stale FIR state cleanly per channel, fixing rare cases where a fresh preset would briefly inherit the previous one's FIR config. • Status-readout copy, and dozens of smaller polish touches across the app.
