Describe the symptom ("check engine light is on", "grinding noise when I brake") and get the most-likely cause, an estimated repair cost, and a DIY difficulty rating. And when a job needs a lift or special tools, it says so.
OBD2 SCANNING
Pair a Bluetooth LE or WiFi ELM327 adapter and read stored, pending, and permanent trouble codes — free, with plain-English descriptions from a 9,415-code offline catalog. Live sensor data, emissions readiness, and VIN reading included from DIY up. Read-only: it never clears codes or flashes your ECU.
GUIDED DIAGNOSTICS
Resumable sessions that walk you through the tests in the order that rules out the cheap causes first, so you don't replace a converter when the problem was an exhaust leak.
