Am I Trippin? is a travel journal and photo diary built around your Apple Photos library. Add notes to photos and videos, organize trips into sections, and browse your journal by date, album, or location.
Use it for travel notes, a daily diary, or documenting everyday life. Your entries link to photos already in your library, without creating another copy of your photo collection.
• Photo captions and journal entries
Tap a photo or video to write about it. Add the people, places, and details the picture doesn’t show, or return later to edit your notes.
• Entries without photos
Write a thought, a daily summary, or something you didn’t photograph. Text-only entries can include your current location, and you can adjust their date and time.
• Sections and daily overviews
Organize trips and events with section titles and nested subsections. Switch between the diary timeline and a section overview with slideshows and daily photo calendars. Groups of photos without entries can stay collapsed for easier browsing.
• Trip maps
View photos on a map and connect their locations in chronological order. Open a photo from the map and jump to its place in your diary. Map features use available location information.
• Apple Photos albums
Browse albums from your photo library and see their photos alongside your journal entries.
• Import and export Photos captions
Import existing Apple Photos captions as journal entries, with a preview and selection before importing. Matching entries are skipped. Export journal entries to Photos captions and choose which existing captions to replace, or enable automatic caption updates when you edit an entry.
Photos caption import and export require iOS 27 or later.
• Videos and Live Photos
Play videos and press and hold to revisit Live Photos directly from your journal.
• Daily reminders and writing streaks
Choose a reminder time and track your writing streak. Writing or editing an entry on another day adds to your streak, with an extra 24-hour grace period before it expires. Built-in help and writing tips offer suggestions for what to photograph and write.
