Team map layers • Team owners and admins can now let members show the team as a read-only layer on top of My Data or another team. It’s a good fit for clubs and organizations that share a map of trails, hazards or points of interest. Turn on “Members Can Show as Map Layer” in Team Settings, then pick the team in Map View under Team Layers. iPhone Duo • Full support for iPhone Duo’s inner and outer displays, including tabletop mode, cards that stay clear of the fold, and a route builder that keeps working when you fold or unfold. * Route builder • New Snap: Waypoints mode for routes and regions. Tap your waypoints to connect them with straight lines, landing on each waypoint’s exact location. • Regions now have a snap picker too, with Manual and Snap: Waypoints. CarPlay driving directions • New routes built with Snap: Roads now include turn-by-turn directions in CarPlay, including roundabout exits. Apple Watch • A larger, easier-to-read distance button while recording. • While you’re recording and the map is following you, the location and menu buttons fade away. Tap the map to bring them back. • Refreshed glass map buttons that adapt to light and dark maps.

NEW ROUTE BUILDER Building a route is faster and simpler. Snap to trails, roads, or your own routes and tracks, or draw a straight line. Tap to add points, or touch and hold to draw freehand. Use the crosshairs for precise placement, or turn them off and just tap the map. On iPhone, elevation gain updates as you build. On iPad use keyboard shortcuts and your trackpad. WORK IN ONE TEAM AT A TIME Switch between My Data and any of your teams. While you're in a team, the map and menu show only that team's data, and everything you create is saved to it, including from Apple Watch. Team admins can now archive teams they no longer use. MULTI-PAGE PRINTING Add pages to cover a whole trip, then print or export them together as one PDF. Printing has a redesigned options panel and works the same as on the web. Snap to Trails now works offline. Trail routing runs entirely on your device, so you can build routes that follow trails with no cell service — and it's much faster. New MGRS grid overlay — grid zone designators plus 100km, 10km and 1km squares, with labels that keep the zone. New distance grid overlay — square grids from 100 yards/meters up to 50 miles/kilometers, for quick distance estimates on the map. Export options to include elevation in GPX and KML tracks and routes. New: CartoTracks integration! Some of the most detailed off-road maps in the country are now available right inside Topo Maps+. Link your CartoTracks account in a single click and your maps show up automatically. This release also includes several bug fixes and crash fixes.
