ThreatNet is ZoneWatch's own severe-weather intelligence system, built in-house and found only in ZoneWatch. It scans radar across the country around the clock, finds each storm, follows it scan after scan, and shows you where it's headed next.
ThreatNet Storm, the first ThreatNet package:
- ZoneWatch Storm Track Intelligence: every tracked storm's outline, speed and direction, updated about every 2 minutes
- Where each storm is headed: forecast positions out to 60 minutes, with the path ahead drawn on your map
- Strengthening or weakening at a glance, with a trail of where each storm has been
- ZoneWatch Lightning Risk and Damaging Wind Risk models, on the map and for your saved locations
- Advanced NEXRAD radar: velocity, spectrum width, differential reflectivity and correlation coefficient
- Storm-scale radar products: storm total and 1- and 3-hour precipitation, VIL, echo tops and hydrometeor classification
- Rotation tracks
ThreatNet Storm is included with ZoneWatch Max, or available on its own. ThreatNet works alongside official National Weather Service warnings.
ZWCAST Forecasts:
- Rapid storm detection for the hours ahead, steadier forecasts for the days after
- Expected rain and snow amounts, with lower chances clearly marked
- ZoneWatch Flood Notices and Excessive Rainfall Risk levels
- Advanced charts for wind, cloud cover and temperature: press and hold to scrub hourly values
Radar & Forecast Models:
- MRMS and NEXRAD radar, with smoothing on or off
- Watches and warnings right on the map
- Real-time lightning tracking
- Future radar from HRRR, RAP, NAM 3KM, NAM, GFS, ECMWF and ECMWF AIFS, out to 15 days
- National Blend of Models (NBM) for temperature, precipitation, wind gusts and more
- Snow, wind, visibility, air quality, temperature and more

- Lightning: by distance, activity level, and quiet-hours bypass
