What's New — Time@Location
Car Trip Tracking
Time@Location now automatically records your drives. Connect your iPhone to CarPlay and the app starts tracking — no tapping required. When you disconnect, the trip is saved with its duration, distance, and a full GPS route you can export as KML or GPX.
Set up takes two minutes: create a car location, run two Shortcuts automations (one for connect, one for disconnect), and you're done. Everything from that point on is automatic.
Trip Maps
Every recorded drive now has a map. Tap the map icon on any car trip to see your exact route drawn on a full-screen map with a start marker and an end marker. Tap either marker to open Apple Maps at that position — useful for revisiting where a trip began or ended.
Route Quality Controls
GPS accuracy is now set to navigation grade for the sharpest possible tracks. The distance filter — how far you need to move before a new point is recorded — is configurable in Settings under Car Tracking. Choose from 25 m, 50 m, 100 m, or 200 m depending on how detailed you want your routes. Location updates pause automatically when the car is stationary, saving battery without missing movement.
Smarter Reports
The reporting screen has been overhauled for mixed fleets of locations and drives:
• Car trip rows now show From → To as geocoded city or district names instead of the car name, so you can see at a glance where each drive went.
• Distance is shown next to duration for every car trip.
• When trips are grouped by day, the label shows the city you left from and the city you arrived at across all drives that day.
• The section header adapts automatically: Locations when only place visits are shown, Trips for drives only, Locations and Trips when both appear together.
• The view toggle button now shows your current mode — tap Daily Summary to switch to individual entries, tap All Trips (or All Locations) to go back.
PDF and CSV Exports
Exported reports now include a dedicated Distance column alongside Duration. Car trips show their geocoded From/To labels in the PDF instead of the car name. The summary row at the bottom of each table shows total time and total distance on a single line, correctly aligned under their respective columns.
Dashboard Month Navigation
The monthly summary on the Dashboard can now be browsed month by month. Tap the left or right arrow to move to the previous or next month — arrows are greyed out automatically when there is no data in that direction. Tap the month name itself to open a picker where you can jump to any month and year directly. A Current Month button in the picker snaps you back instantly.
Distances Always in Your Units
Distances across the entire app — Dashboard, Reports, Maps, PDF, CSV, and push notifications — now always display in kilometres or miles matching your iOS region setting. Metres are never shown.
Fully Translated
All new strings — car tracking setup, GPS settings, report headers, month navigation, and Watch app status messages — are fully translated into German, Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese.
