A major update: the app has been rebuilt under the hood — it is now faster and more stable. NEW • "Reading now" on the home screen opens the book straight in the reader, right where you left off • Reading and listening position syncs with the Author.Today website (turn it on in Settings) • When an author updates a chapter, the reader offers to load the new text • Hyphenation in the reader • New reader settings: keep the screen on, brightness by swipe, two columns, orientation lock • Updated catalog: over 360k+ books • Search by book ID from the first digit; title search matches the start of every word • Portal notifications now load in full • Cloud text-to-speech is used only with your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings FIXED • Reader: bookmarks and highlights stay in place after changing the font; Charis and Caecilia fonts are now actually applied; rare crashes fixed • Audiobooks: the next chapter starts automatically — in the app, in CarPlay and on the lock screen; changing speed while paused no longer starts playback; interrupted downloads resume • Text-to-speech: highlighting follows the voice precisely • The list of book updates is kept after restarting the app • A "Retry" button appears when loading fails • Plus many smaller fixes "Sync (period)" has been merged into "Book sync".
