[NEW] New to Bookov? A fresh install now opens on a short guide to the app, in English or Russian. [IMPROVED] Long quotes: Notes now shows up to 40 lines of a quote, and Show More reveals the rest right in the card.

[NEW] Filter notes by book: tap a cover in the strip above your quotes to see only that book's. [NEW] Search notes: find any quote, note, book title or author from the field under the title.

[NEW] Bookov now speaks Russian: the whole app is translated, and so is the App Store listing. [NEW] Settings → Language opens the iPhone settings where you choose the app's language. [IMPROVED] AI summaries now default to the app's language rather than the book's. You can still pick another language for any summary.

[NEW] Discover the free libraries in Search: more than 80,000 public-domain books from Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks and Russian Wikisource. Browse shelves and popular authors, then download any classic in one tap. [FIXED] Small fixes to how the free libraries load after an update.

[NEW] Free libraries: Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks and Russian Wikisource right in Search; public-domain books download in one tap. [FIXED] A newly added book opens right away. Opening a book from its page no longer freezes the app. [FIXED] Deleting a book that has no file no longer removes the files of your other books. [FIXED] Deleting a book removes only that book and leaves none of its data behind; your other books keep their descriptions and covers. [FIXED] If a deletion fails, the book stays in your library with its file.

[IMPROVED] AI summaries run on 18 current models, from Claude Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5 to GPT-5.6 Sol, Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3, Muse Spark 1.3 and DeepSeek V4. [IMPROVED] Summaries cost fewer credits: Academician now starts at 2 credits instead of 10, Professor at 1 instead of 7, and Claude Opus drops from 18 to 10.

[NEW] Reading Statistics: a reading habit sticks when you can see it. Check today's minutes, keep your streak going and watch your weeks fill in, right from your Library. Set a daily goal if you want one. No account needed; your reading sessions stay on your device and in the backups you make. [NEW] Bookov Pro: scroll back through your whole reading history, the months you kept it up and the ones you didn't, and chase your best streak. Line up the books you finished this year on a shelf, and see which books, authors and genres took most of your hours. Bookov records your reading on every plan, so upgrading later opens up everything you've already read. Monthly or annual, with a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime. [NEW] Bookov Pro also adds 30 AI credits a month for AI summaries. Sign in with a free Bookov account to get them. They refresh on your billing day and go before any credits you bought. [NEW] Pick any premium app icon with Bookov Pro. Already bought a Support level? Your icons stay unlocked. [IMPROVED] Back up your library and your reading history comes along: restore on a new device to get your streaks, rhythm, rankings and goals back. [IMPROVED] If restoring a backup fails part-way, your current library, book files and reading history stay exactly as they were. [IMPROVED] Manage your Bookov Pro plan from the Account screen: see when it renews and tap through to your App Store subscription. [FIXED] Merging a backup no longer saves a second copy of every book you already have.

[FIXED] Vertical scroll mode now reopens a book exactly where you stopped reading, even after iOS closes the app in the background. [FIXED] Changing the font size in vertical scroll mode no longer jumps to another chapter.

Library Backup is clearer. Fixed icons overlapping their labels in Settings, Search and other lists when you use larger text sizes.

Fixed text selection in the reader: selections now start cleanly from the first character of a paragraph, dragging a selection handle no longer flips the page, and swipe gestures stay quiet while you are selecting text.

Bug fixes and performance improvements.

[NEW] Finish a book and get a proper "The End!" moment - the book is marked Finished automatically. [FIXED] Reading progress could get stuck at 99% at the end of a book. [FIXED] Rare blank screen when reopening a finished book.

[FIXED] Some FB2 books showed a long block of code at the very end of the book. That was an embedded cover image being displayed as text — it's now kept out of your reading, and covers still appear as before. Already-imported FB2 books clean themselves up automatically the next time you open them.

[IMPROVED] Large shelves open instantly and scroll smoothly — even with thousands of books. [IMPROVED] Searching inside a shelf is faster, with no stutter as you type.

[NEW] Search your library — find any book you own from any shelf or the Search screen. [IMPROVED] Now the file import supports .fb2.zip files too

[IMPROVED] Opening and closing reader animations

[IMPROVED] Footnotes are now interactive

[FIXED] Your books, formatted the way they should be. We fixed how text and images render across your library: • Italic and bold now appear correctly — no more passages stuck in italics or missing emphasis. • Chapter titles are detected more reliably, and stray line breaks no longer interrupt the text. • Covers and in-text images display properly again. Your existing books upgrade automatically — each one refreshes once the first time you open it, with nothing to re-import. You can also refresh everything at once in Settings → Data Storage → Update Library.

[FIXED] More reliable reading — fixed cases where a book could fail to open, the reader could hang when returning to the app, or a downloaded file could be lost. [IMPROVED] Cleaner text — improved paragraph indentation and removed stray blank lines in EPUB and FB2 books.
