Once Upon AI writes a brand-new children's story from whatever your child is excited about today: a brave little fox, a submarine made of jelly, a dragon who is scared of heights. Every page gets its own illustration, and the whole book can be read aloud with the words highlighting in time.

- Choose from a dozen tones: gentle, silly, adventurous, magical, heroic, mysterious and more
- Or open the advanced options for full control of the title, characters, setting and length
- Stuck? Tap Get Creative Ideas for suggested characters, settings and magical objects. It is free and never uses a story credit
AN ILLUSTRATION ON EVERY PAGE
- Ten art styles: watercolour, cartoon, pencil sketch, oil painting, anime, pixel art, vintage, digital art, minimalist and photorealistic
- Pick one and the entire book is drawn to match
- Long-press any illustration to save it straight to Photos (Premium)
READ-ALONG NARRATION
- Every story can be read aloud
- Words highlight in time with the narration, which is exactly what early readers need

A big update to make Once Upon AI safer, simpler and prettier for families.
• A clear "how the stories are made" screen. A parent agrees once before the first story.
• Your child's character names stay on your device. We swap them for made-up names before a story is written and put the real names back afterwards.
• No ads and no third-party trackers. Nothing about your child or your stories is stored on our servers.
• Start right away with no account. Sign in with Apple only if you want to keep things across devices, and deleting your account is one tap in Settings.
• Much better pictures: a cover and a picture on every page, with the same characters on every page and a different scene on each one, in your child's chosen art style.
• Smoother story creation and many small fixes.
