Every close reader ends up with the same problem. The margins fill with underlines, the sticky tabs pile up, and by the time the group meets, the best thing you noticed is buried three chapters back with no page to point to. Book Bridges is built for that reader: the one who annotates as they go and wants that scattered marginalia to become something to talk from. You jot a chapter observation, a line worth quoting, an open question, or a recurring theme, and you give the related ones a shared tag. From there the connective work is done for you. Notes that share a tag gather into a page-ordered thread, and Book Bridges reads that thread the way a discussion leader would, checking whether it holds evidence, a real question, a theme worth chasing, and page anchors that lead back to the text, then naming the one note that would strengthen it next. Nothing you write leaves the book you're reading: there is no sign-in, no analytics kit, no advertising, and no server behind any of it, so your notes and the threads built from them stay yours. Seventy original, book-agnostic prompts come bundled for any book, and the app never supplies copyrighted passages or writes your responses. When the meeting is close, pick the threads to cover and a length, forty-five, sixty, or ninety minutes, and a timed agenda assembles itself: a warm-up, one time-boxed topic per thread with your evidence in page order and your saved questions, an extra prompt to push each further, and a close sized to fit the clock. Track where you are in the current read, keep a streak, set a yearly goal, and export a summary, a thread packet, a discussion guide, or a spreadsheet to see the whole shelf.

This update focuses on legibility. Text colors were deepened for a wider contrast margin in light, dark, and high-contrast modes, and secondary labels now carry a heavier weight so captions stay clear on tinted cards and the reading surface. Type continues to scale with Dynamic Type up to the accessibility sizes across every screen, with layouts that reflow instead of truncating. The first-launch worked example — a book club reading "The Ferry at Alder Cross" — now plants once and stays put, so clearing or editing it never brings the sample back over your own notes. You can still restore it any time from Info > Reset sample data.
