TotalMaker turns a web app into a Mac app. Give it an address, a name, an icon and a window size, and it hands you a real .app you can double-click, keep in the Dock and pass to anyone.
WHAT YOU GET
A native window around your web app, with the menus a Mac app is expected to have: Copy, Paste and Select All where your hands already look for them, Quit on ⌘Q, Reload on ⌘R, and text that grows with ⌘+ — remembered for next time, like the window's own size and place. Links that ask for a new window open in the browser, where they belong.
Inside, it is a small Cocoa and WebKit runtime, built for both Apple Silicon and Intel, and a file with your settings. Nothing else: no framework to ship, no installer, no runtime for anyone to download.
YOU SEE IT BEFORE YOU BUILD IT
The address you type loads right there, in the same web view the exported app will use. What you see in the preview is what the app will show.
TWO WAYS TO HAND IT OVER
Local builds are signed ad hoc: right for your own Mac, for testing, and for someone who knows to Control-click and Open the first time.
Distributable builds are signed with your Developer ID and sent to Apple for notarisation, with the ticket stapled to the app — so it opens on anyone's Mac with a double-click. TotalMaker keeps the whole log of that conversation, ready to copy if Apple has something to say.
BUILT FOR DOING IT AGAIN
Building into a folder that already holds an app of that name asks first. The version, the bundle identifier and the window travel with the app, so the next build is one click away.
WHAT YOU NEED
A web app of your own with an address this Mac can reach. For distributable builds, a Developer ID Application certificate and a notarytool profile in your keychain.

THE APPS YOU MAKE NOW HAVE MENUS
Until now an exported app had no menu bar at all: no ⌘Q to quit, and — inside a web app, where it matters most — no Edit menu, which is where ⌘C, ⌘V and ⌘A live. Every app exported so far shipped that way.
Now they carry the standard set: About, Hide and Quit; Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All; Reload, and text that grows with ⌘+ and shrinks with ⌘−, remembered for next time; Minimize, Zoom and Close.
LINKS THAT OPEN ELSEWHERE
A link asking for a new window had none to open and quietly did nothing. Those links go to your browser now.
THE WINDOW STAYS WHERE YOU LEFT IT
An exported app reopens at the size and place you last gave it, instead of starting centred every time.
ALSO
The window width read 1.280 wherever the thousands separator is a dot — it is pixels, and now it says so. The fields and the icon-only buttons tell VoiceOver what they are. And the status at the top sits in one capsule instead of two.
