Skyfield: Sky Tonight

Skyfield answers the question every sky-watcher actually has: what's in the sky tonight, when should I look, and is it even worth going outside?
Open it and get a straight answer for exactly where you are:
IS IT WORTH LOOKING UP TONIGHT?
• A live Stargazing forecast — an honest Excellent / Good / Fair / Poor verdict and 0–100 score, from tonight's real cloud cover and the moon's brightness
• Your best dark-sky window tonight, with real times ("clear and moonless 11:30pm–1am")
• Sky Conditions now — temperature, cloud cover, and what the sky is doing
WHAT'S UP, AND WHEN
• Sunset, golden hour and blue hour — to the minute
• The moon's phase, how lit it is, and tonight's moonrise & moonset
• The next meteor shower peak
• Aurora chance for your latitude, from NOAA's live Kp forecast
• "The Sun's Path" — a live arc of the sun across the day
YOUR AI SKY GUIDE
A new Guide tab reads tonight's real conditions for your location and gives 2–3 short, specific tips: what to look for, the best window to go out, and a sunset/photo tip. It always works — even offline, it falls back to clear, data-based guidance computed on your device. AI is optional and off until you turn it on.
Sky conditions use the free Open-Meteo and NOAA space-weather services; sun, moon and the stargazing forecast are computed on your device and work offline. No account, no sign-up, no tracking.
KEEP WHAT YOU SAW
Log a sunset, the full moon, an aurora, or a passing bird in seconds — with a photo and a note. Your year rolls up into a "Year in the Sky" recap to look back on and share.
BUILT FOR YOUR PHONE
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets with tonight's moon and golden hour
• Ask Siri or use Shortcuts: "What's in the sky tonight?"
• Full Dynamic Type, dark mode, and accessibility support
Skyfield is free, has no ads, and asks for nothing. Just look up.
