AppShot turns your everyday screenshots into polished, share-ready images — automatically. Copy a screenshot (⌃⇧⌘4) or take one to a file (⇧⌘4), and AppShot notices it on your clipboard and brings the editor forward for you. FROM RAW SCREENSHOT TO SHARE-READY • Backgrounds: gradients, mesh gradients, solid color, your own image, or fully transparent • macOS window or browser chrome, in light and dark variants • Padding, rounded corners, shadow, and an "inset" mode that expands the screenshot's own edge color instead of jumping straight to an outer background • Non-destructive crop with a rule-of-thirds grid, plus zoom and pan for precise work on small captures • Canvas presets for social platforms — 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, and 1.91:1 (LinkedIn/OG) — with auto-balanced padding ANNOTATE DIRECTLY ON THE IMAGE • Freehand drawing, lines, arrows, rectangles, and text • A 7-color palette plus the system color picker, with adjustable stroke width • Undo support, and a manual pixelated-redaction tool for anything you want to black out yourself AUTOMATIC SENSITIVE-INFO REDACTION On-device OCR (Apple's Vision framework) scans the screenshot for emails, API tokens, card numbers, and phone numbers, and pixelates them automatically — nothing ever leaves your Mac. WATERMARKS AND PRESETS Add a text or logo watermark in any corner, with adjustable size and opacity. Save your favorite combination of background, frame, layout, and watermark as a named preset, and apply it in one click to keep a series of screenshots consistent. EXPORT YOUR WAY Copy straight to the clipboard (⌘C) or save as PNG/JPEG (⌘S) at auto, 1x, 2x, or 3x scale. Lives quietly in your menu bar, ready whenever you need it.
