Point Cloud Viewer fixes that: open LiDAR, drone, and 3D-scan files natively, with Quick Look previews and Finder thumbnails.
Open XYZ, PTS, PCD, PLY, LAS, LAZ, and E57: from aerial LiDAR to terrestrial scans; then orbit, zoom, and inspect. Colour by true RGB, elevation, intensity, or classification.
