Four and a half thousand years before chess had rules, the people of Mesopotamia were playing the Royal Game of Ur. Now the world's oldest board game is on your iPhone and iPad — a full 3D board on a walnut table, faithfully modelled on the famous artifact in the British Museum.
Race your seven pieces along the board, roll the four ancient tetrahedral dice, capture your opponent on the bridge, and claim the rosettes for extra turns. The rules follow Irving Finkel's celebrated reconstruction, deciphered from a Babylonian cuneiform tablet — so you're playing the game the way it was played in 2600 BCE.
