New: the Daily Board. The same board for everyone each day, one try only, with its own Game Center leaderboard. Finish it every day to build a streak, and get an optional reminder. Chording: tap an open number whose mines are all flagged to uncover the rest of its neighbours. Your wins are celebrated with a new best time or your winning streak. With Increase Contrast on, the numbers are darker and easier to read, and VoiceOver's two-finger double-tap tells you the mines left and the time.

The clock now stops while Settings is open, so reading the rules or checking your statistics mid-game costs no time. VoiceOver improvements: flagged squares offer "Remove Flag", and the mine counter reads correctly. With Reduce Motion on, the board no longer animates when a game ends.

Enjoying Minesweeper? After a few wins the game may ask once whether you'd like to rate it, never after a loss or in the middle of a game. You can also rate it any time from Settings.

When a game ends on a zoomed-in board, the board now zooms back out so you can see every mine, and the scroll bars flash after you pinch so it's clear when the board continues past the edge of the screen.

Your first tap is now always safe: it never hits a mine. Your clock now always restarts when you continue a saved game, and VoiceOver tells you when you win (with your time) or hit a mine. Also new since the last update: your game in progress is saved when you close the app, a Statistics screen in Settings, and VoiceOver reads each square's row and column.
