SkeinLedger is a knitting and crochet studio for the pieces you are making now.
Projects hold each piece: technique, size, needles, stages, and a finished or in-progress state. Record the pattern source and row instructions, mark your place on a stitch chart, and keep measurements and a making journal with the project. Finishing a piece keeps its counter history, yarn use, and notes together.
Counter is a row counter for the section you are working. Add a row, undo the last count, save your place, and pause or end a session. Each counter keeps its own history. A journal note does not count the row again.
Gauge Lab stores real swatches, before and after blocking. Enter the width, height, stitches, and rows you measured. Saved calculations keep their original inputs, so a later edit does not change an older result. Compare a target size with the gauge you actually knit.
Yarn Library keeps dye lots, colors, and cupboard stock separate. Issue yarn to a project, record what you use, and return what is left. Palettes and needles stay with the studio, and cost follows the batch you bought.
Search across projects, notes, materials, and measurements. Set length and weight units once. Export JSON, CSV, or a PDF report, or save a complete backup with your photos. Import can merge with what is already here, or replace it after you confirm.
SkeinLedger starts empty. There is no account. Photos you choose are copied into the app’s private storage, and reminders are scheduled only when you create a plan.
