Don’t carry your phone while sailing? Using a watch or another tracking device? No problem. You can now import tracks from other applications into eStela and include them in eStela’s live visualization, rankings, and analysis tools.

Introducing Scheduled Tracking — you can now set a start time for phone tracking. This is especially useful when you’re still at the dock and want to set up tracking for later without forgetting. Thanks to Ralf Moller for the idea.

In this release, we’re introducing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration. With this feature, committee boats and sailors can connect to BLE anemometer devices to collect and transmit wind data in real time. This enhances live rankings, race visualization, and performance statistics.
We’re starting with integration for Calypso Instruments, with more to come. If you have a BLE anemometer and would like it to work with eStela, please contact us.
