TrueConf 8 is designed to streamline remote work and business communication with your colleagues, partners and clients. All essential team messaging features — in one app.
We have given TrueConf a new look and feel to make it fresh, modern and powerful. All important tools are clearly visible and can be instantly accessed, allowing you to stay focused on your tasks and communicate without distractions.
- Video calls and conferences. Group meetings for up to 1,000 participants, up to 36 participants on screen.
- Meeting scheduling. Meet instantly or schedule a series of meetings with advanced options for your team.
- Team messaging without limits. Connect with colleagues and teams before, during and after meetings in personal and group chats.
- Address book. Navigate through your company’s departments, instantly see your colleagues’ availability, get quick access to chats and meetings.
- Collaboration tools. Share content, control desktops remotely, import, edit and show slides during meetings, upload PDF files and convert them into slidedecks right in your app.
- Meeting recording. Record your video calls and conferences and share the records with your team.
- Pick up where you left off, on multiple devices. Receive calls and use your TrueConf account on multiple devices simultaneously. Your calls and chat history is automatically synced on every device you are using.
- Custom layouts. Set flexible video layouts both for individual users and for all meeting participants.
- Real-time meeting management. Control attendees’ cameras and microphones, lock layouts for all meeting participants to keep them focused on the agenda.
- Customize your app with themes & skins. Choose between light and dark themes, set your preferred video layout background or frame colors.
To make the most of your application, connection to TrueConf Server 5.0 is required.

Added
- A dedicated icon is now shown for forwarded messages in the chat list.
- A special message divider in chats that marks the beginning of unread messages.
- Ability to mute chat notifications for a specific period from the system tray.
- Users can now mute notifications until the end of the current conference or call.
- Display of an additional user status next to the regular status at the top of the chat window.
- Ability to copy an image directly from the viewer using the Cmd+C keyboard shortcut.
- When adding a clickable link to a message, the last copied URL is now automatically inserted for the selected text in the pop-up dialog.
- Automatic reconnection in calls (Direct RTC) when the network changes or short connection interruptions occur.
- Ability to toggle the microphone in conferences using the Space key (by default): a single press turns the microphone on, while press-and-hold enables push-to-talk mode.
- A button to copy the meeting link has been added to the top panel of the conference window and to the participant list.
- Ability to sign out an account connected to the federation service, after signing out manually, data stored in Active Directory will no longer be filled in automatically.
- Ability to rename locally saved video recordings directly in the client application via a button in the context menu in the corresponding section.
Changed
- Improved performance of the AI model used for background replacement and blur.
- In chats, the scroll button now takes you to the first unread message on the first click and to the end of the conversation on the second click.
- In ongoing conferences, clicking the video area now changes the layout with a single click instead of a double-click.
- The meeting ID copied from the “Conference settings” window now includes not only the number but also the server and domain, which expands its possible uses.
- Message scrolling in preloaded chats has been sped up.
Fixed
- The whiteboard recognition area can now be moved by holding down the left mouse button in the settings.
- Fixed an issue where content sharing from a user sent to the waiting room did not stop.
- Fixed an issue where, in some cases, jumping to a message quoted with the “Reply” function was unavailable.
- Fixed an issue where using “Go to message” in the “Files” section of the “Contacts” menu did not navigate to the message.
- Fixed an issue where, if the connection was lost while sending a file, the file was still shown as sent.
- Fixed possible application freezes when sending a large number of files at once in a chat.
- Fixed an issue where a ringing tone could periodically be heard when trying to join an ongoing conference.
- Fixed an issue where the “Auto focus on face” feature remained enabled if the checkbox was cleared while the camera was turned off.
- Fixed an issue where, after the computer resumed from hibernation, the size of sent files in chat was sometimes displayed incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue where, when switching from content sharing back to the user’s own video, the last frame of the shared content could remain on screen.
- Overall application performance has been improved.
- Fixed visual glitches and incorrect display of some interface elements.
