• Weather Station (Pro): current conditions from a nearby personal station, or your own • Tune My Forecast: coming hours and daily highs and lows learn how your station's spot runs • Tune for My Neighborhood: forecasts shift by how your part of town usually runs, Apple Weather included • Widget forecasts use your station's tuning • Explore Your City's Microclimates: a live map of every station around, a two-day replay, and your area's typical day • Station vs. Forecast: your station and the forecast day by day, and whether tuning helps • The realistic background follows the real sky: cloud layers, and rain and snow by type and rate • Clear nights show real stars, planets and the Milky Way, with meteor showers and auroras • The night sky turns toward its best view, like the Milky Way's core or Orion • Stars, the sun and moon, clouds and rainbows sit behind the hills, trees and buildings in your photo • Rainbows, sun halos, fog, haze and smoke appear when conditions allow • Rain falls in fine streaks and snow in soft flakes, with the nearest ones out of focus • Wind-blown rain and snow fill the whole screen, not just one side • In Visualize Day, stars, the sun and clouds stay behind the skyline too • The moon shows real surface detail and no longer flashes a white square at night • AMBER and Blue Alerts no longer appear, and life-threatening warnings can't be hidden • Alert mute settings say which warnings they can't silence • Radar uses far less data while it loops and when you move the map • Hurricane tracking (Pro): each storm's forecast cone, track and forecast points on the radar, with coastal watches and warnings • Tropical Outlook (Pro): NHC's 7-day areas where tropical storms may form, as its own radar layer • Click a storm for its winds, pressure, movement and forecast • A card in the main window when your location is in a storm's forecast cone • Hurricane Cone Alerts: know when a storm's forecast cone first covers your location • On macOS 13, 14 and 15, the welcome window appears at first launch again, and opens in front of your other windows, so setup can be finished • Startup finishes and the menu bar icon keeps responding when location access is turned off • Current conditions and widgets stay up when a forecast arrives without daily data • Settings has a Rate Forecast Bar button that opens the Mac App Store review page • The rating request waits for a good moment and skips times something went wrong • Smart Weather Stories load faster, and each day's story opens with what sets that day apart • Late at night, Smart Weather Stories start with the rest of tonight and load reliably • Quick Smart Weather Stories are shorter and punchier • The Smart Weather Stories AI Model menu lists each option once • "Show Temperature as Curve" is now a picker with both timelines drawn • Widgets show the right hours and times in half-hour time zones such as India and Adelaide • Smart and Single Location widgets keep their usual layout when rain is past the hours they show • The background falls back to a built-in scene when a chosen city pack is gone • Show Overnight Lows, in Data & Layout, gives each day the low of the night that follows it • Precip Chance in the menu bar shows the forecast chance instead of 0% • The Subscription window always opens in front, at a usable size • The detached panel opens docked when its saved position is off every screen • The Current Weather widget's summary moves on with each hour • The tall Current Weather widget shows today's written forecast • Widgets say "until" the hour the next condition starts, not an hour later • The docked panel keeps its height after being detached and closed, and a detached panel reopens where you left it after a relaunch See everything that's new at forecastbar.com/whats-new

• Fixed on macOS 27: the forecast panel closes again with Escape, a click outside it or a click on its menu bar icon, and right-click and drag-to-detach work again • Ready for macOS 27, including its menu bar overflow and keyboard controls • Radar: one Overlays button for warnings, lightning, storm cells, cameras and road layers • Pro: road conditions, weather hazards, and road and air temperatures on the radar • Pro: storm reports, river gauges and fire perimeters • Pro: road camera video or snapshots in AL, AZ, CA, DE, GA, LA, MD, MO, NC, NV, OH and WA • Widgets: new extra large Current Weather • Compare can add a temporary city without saving it • Sky events and earthquakes link to viewing guides, live maps and community reports • Bug fixes and performance optimizations See everything that's new at forecastbar.com/whats-new

Choose your forecast source • Gold members can switch the app to Apple Weather — or stay on The Weather Company — from Settings → Data & Layout. Pollen, air quality, history and 15-minute precipitation keep coming from The Weather Company either way, and menu-bar quick updates ride its observations in both modes. • Compare sources side by side. The new compare window charts every measurement at once — two lines with the disagreement shaded between them, and paired high/low bars by day — and names the biggest disagreement. Drag across a chart and both readings follow the pointer. Works for comparing cities too, and an optional agreement band overlays the second source on the hourly graph. Daily reports become Smart Weather Stories • Gold members can have morning and evening report notifications written as a Smart Weather Story — the day's real story up front, tuned to your location and season, with an optional note telling it what to prioritize. Turn it on in Notifications → Daily Reports. Runs on Ventura • Now runs on macOS 13.3 and later (previously 14.6), so Macs that can't go past Ventura can use the current app. Modern Macs are untouched. Find your menu bar item • If Forecast Bar's menu bar item disappears, Settings → General → Menu Bar now says why — hidden behind the camera housing, or parked by a menu bar manager such as Ice or Bartender — with a button to the fix. Hide the alerts you never want • Right-click an alert and choose Hide all — for example every Beach Hazard alert when you live inland. Dismiss the same kind twice and the card offers it. If you also get notifications for that kind of alert, the app asks whether to stop those too. Bring a type back in Settings → Forecasts → Hidden Alert Types. Storm Tracker, up front • The Storm Tracker now sits directly above the precipitation chart, ahead of the alerts in force, the storm report and the day's outlook, so a storm minutes out is the first thing you see in the panel. Widgets • Widgets flag severe weather. When a warning is in force for a widget's location, the medium and large widgets show a severity-colored badge; click it to see the active warnings. Widgets also build their timelines about three times faster, and rain bars line up with their hour columns again. Stargazing • Upcoming Sky Events — the full catalog of eclipses, meteor showers and conjunctions — is always one click away at the bottom of the stargazing forecast, and Compare Locations now fills in Stargazing Conditions for both cities. Sync what you want • Sync Layout Across Devices, in Settings → Data & Layout, lets this Mac keep its own data points and layout while your other devices carry on sharing theirs. Tell us what you want • Request a Feature lives in About & More → Support: pick a type, describe it, attach a screenshot, and it lands with us directly. Sharper fundamentals • Weather loads sooner after launch, alerts arrive sooner after each refresh, tides compute about twice as fast, and the radar window opens faster. • Sunrise, sunset and solar times use NOAA-grade astronomy math, the UV Index chart matches the NWS scale again, and reissued alerts no longer stack up. • AI stories stay put between refreshes instead of rewriting themselves when conditions drift a degree. • The Subscription window sizes itself to its content, names the row Mac Subscription, and shows an expiration date only when there is one instead of reading as if it ran out a minute ago. • Fixed the Compare Locations window refusing to reopen for the same city, the compare card's switch-to-city arrow leaving the previous city's numbers on screen, a compare row showing a tornado icon when a lookup failed, Cloud Cover reading 100% under any overcast on Apple Weather, "0 Alerts" above visible alert cards, and a crash when the radar map closed with the panel. Forecast Bar as a full window • The footer button in the menu bar panel opens Forecast Bar as a wide, resizable window laid out in two columns like the iPad — and Dock Mode opens the same way. Narrow it and it folds back to one column. • The window remembers the size you settle on, the animated sky fills all of it, and Visualize Day and Compare open in front of the panel instead of behind it. Storms on the radar • Storm Cells draws every tracked cell on the map with its probability of turning severe — NOAA/CIMSS ProbSevere guidance, updated every two minutes. Click a cell for severity trend, hail, wind and tornado breakdown, lightning rate and echo top. • Severe Storm Alert and Large Hail Alert ship ready-made, or build your own rule on severe probability or hail size. Severe weather on your widgets • Widgets now show a warning badge when a severe weather warning is active. Click it on a medium or large widget to see every active warning. • Overlapping alerts of the same type appear separately, ordered by severity. Severe Risk • On the rare day the national outlook reaches Enhanced or higher, a Severe Risk card leads the forecast. Click it to see the outlook drawn over the radar. • Severe Outlook Alerts can tell you when the outlook where you are gets upgraded, hours before any watch is issued. Storm Tracker • A storm closing on your location gets a card that leads with the verdict: on track for you, or expected to miss — with a live countdown to arrival. • After it passes, a storm report records what actually happened, and Storm Reports keeps two years of them. Compare cities • Up to five saved cities sit above or below your forecast. Click to compare, or jump straight to that city. • Set a Home location and it joins your forecast automatically whenever you're away. Week Ahead Outlook • A short read on the week's pattern above the daily forecast — the turning points and the standout day. US outlooks now draw on the National Weather Service forecaster's own discussion. Stargazing & Astronomy • Stargazing Conditions shows tonight's best window, darkness, Moon, and weather, with an hourly quality chart. • Astronomy Alerts add meteor showers, eclipses and planetary events, each with your best local viewing time. Live Sunset Alerts • A heads-up minutes before a sunset worth stepping outside for, sent only when live satellite imagery confirms the forecast. Smart Updates • Fetches line up with the weather service's own publish cycle and follow the weather: they back off when it's calm and tighten up when it's active. Time Machine • A quiet row at the bottom of the forecast opens any supported date — past or future — in one resizable window with nearby days alongside it. • Pick dates on a month grid — page through months, click the title for a year grid back to 1979, and Today snaps back in one click. Also in this release • Forecast charts are redrawn with a smoother gradient-filled curve, a current-hour marker, and a marker that follows the pointer. • Cloud cover, humidity and visibility draw as lines on the hourly chart, and scrubbing snaps to the pointer. • The locations popover lines up cleanly — and clicking Edit no longer crashes the app on macOS 27. • Forecast Bar works with VoiceOver, including the menu bar item itself. • A Mac left sitting in the menu bar picks up locations and settings changed on your other devices. • Global radar now plays into the future, so you can scrub ahead anywhere on Earth. • Wildfire smoke joins the radar, with an hour-by-hour PM2.5 forecast. • Location search finds parks, ski areas and landmarks. Storms on the radar • Storm Cells draws every tracked cell on the map with its probability of turning severe — NOAA/CIMSS ProbSevere guidance, updated every two minutes. Storm Tracker • A storm closing on your location gets a card that leads with the verdict: on track for you, or expected to miss — with a live countdown to arrival. • After it passes, a storm report records what actually happened, and Storm Reports keeps two years of them. Smart Data Points • The forecast can pick its own tiles from current conditions — UV while the sun is up, gusts when it's gusty — sorted by what matters right now. Also in this release • Forecast charts are redrawn with a smoother gradient-filled curve, a current-hour marker, and a marker that follows the pointer. • Forecast Bar works with VoiceOver, including the menu bar item itself. • Background Effects soften a busy scene with Blur and Dimming; Glass Mode is now a slider. • A Mac left sitting in the menu bar picks up locations and settings changed on your other devices. • Each device can keep its own appearance while everything else stays in sync. • Global radar now plays into the future, so you can scrub ahead anywhere on Earth. • Wildfire smoke joins the radar, with an hour-by-hour PM2.5 forecast. • Location search finds parks, ski areas and landmarks. • New installs start in your region's formats, with a 24-Hour Clock switch for the menu bar and widgets. See everything that's new at forecastbar.com/whats-new

Visualize Day • Your whole day plays out in its own window — the sky, sun, stars, clouds and rain follow the forecast hour by hour, then loop. Open it from the panel footer, the menu bar icon's right-click menu, or View › Visualize Day. • It starts at the current hour and runs a full day forward, so you're watching the weather ahead of you rather than replaying the morning. • Share the day you just watched as a video, ready to send or post. • Put a condition icon beside the temperature in Settings › Data & Layout › Visualize Day. Request a City Pack • Request a City now files a real request instead of opening an email. The city you're already viewing is one click; any other city is one field. • Follow it in the pack list as it moves from Requested, to in the queue, to being created, to ready to download — and get a notification the moment it's ready. • Packs you asked for are marked with a star. Right-click a request to cancel it or clear it from the list — there was previously no way to withdraw a request on the Mac at all. • Ask for somewhere an existing pack already covers and you get that pack right away instead of a wait. A more realistic sky • The sun follows your location's real sunrise and sunset instead of a fixed 6am-to-6pm arc, and sets out of frame instead of disappearing at the edge of the screen. • Sky and cloud colors turn at the day's actual sunrise and sunset, and shift continuously rather than in steps. Also in this release • The menu bar icon no longer reopens the panel it just closed. • The radar window remembers its size and position between openings. • Current Location widgets stay synchronized with the app's City Pack after travel. • Temperature now sits directly below the condition on Compare's Now card, instead of partway down the list. • Fixed city pack requests for names typed without punctuation or with an abbreviation, such as "Lake St Louis Mo", which were previously rejected as places that don't exist. • Turning nearby city packs back on restores automatic downloading, which could previously be left switched off even though a fresh install has it on. • Installed city packs update themselves when their photos are improved, instead of waiting for a tap in Settings. See everything that's new at forecastbar.com/whats-new

City Packs • New City Packs — photo backgrounds of real cities that follow your live weather and time of day. A scene appears automatically for the city you're viewing and steps aside when it isn't on screen. • Scenes appear the moment you open the app or switch cities, and crossfade smoothly between changes. • The background picker now leads with City Packs, and Remove All clears every download in one click. • Don't see your city? Request a City lets you tell us where you'd like a pack next. • City scenes appear in widgets too, framed to keep skylines, monuments, and landmarks in shot. • Automatic downloads run over unmetered connections only, so Ethernet and Wi-Fi both work. Smart Weather Stories • Summaries generate noticeably faster in every style, and the Thoughtful style now produces richer, more detailed write-ups. Widgets • Current Weather: choose which data point appears under each hour — UV Index, humidity, wind, and more. • New widgets load in cleanly — a loading placeholder replaces the "Weather unavailable" flash, and a failed first fetch retries on its own. Also in this release • Menu bar fills in on its own if the first update after login doesn't finish. • Read the new Forecast Bar User Guide right from About & More. • Sunrise and sunset alerts open directly to the quality details page. • Area Forecast Discussion now follows your app theme instead of the system appearance. • Adding a critical alert or a monitored location no longer switches to dark while the app is set to light. • Panel footer shows the time of the last successful update. • Sunset quality scores read cirrus-veiled skies more accurately. • Home stays in your locations list whenever you're away from it, even nearby.

• Next-Generation Radar Beta brings fast, high-resolution, continuously looping playback to the Mac. • Radar stays responsive while you pan, zoom, or recenter with a mouse or trackpad. • Radar stops using system resources as soon as you close its window. • Sunrise & Sunset Quality reveals color potential, twilight timing, sky clarity, and cloud layers. • Recent sunrise and sunset results stay available, with feedback and optional photo uploads. • Today's high stays accurate overnight and early morning without yesterday's peak. • New menu bar items start with clearly distinct weather values. • Custom radar links use more precise coordinates for accurate positioning. • Choose how wind direction appears: cardinal points, degrees, or both. • Sunset quality forecasts factor satellite cloud thickness, aerosols, and storm activity.

• Optional quit confirmation guards against accidental exits • Menu bar temperature stays up to date automatically, without a click • Mac: Redesigned hourly graph annotation • The in-app radar loop plays automatically when opened • Your location appears as a dot on the in-app radar • Hourly comparison marks where each new day begins • Moon phase forecasts include every cycle without skipped dates • Radar timeline progress glides smoothly between frames
