Q: Do I need to enter everything manually?
A: Nope! Just add a name, pick a cooked or purchased date, choose estimated expiration date, and pick when to be reminded about your leftovers. LeftoverMate will handle the rest with reminders and urgency sorting.
Q: Can I turn off notifications?
A: Yes! You can disable reminders in the iPhone settings.
Q: What happens when food expires?
A: Expired items are clearly marked in red, faded out, and crossed out so you can decide what to toss or change.
Q: How LeftoverMate handles reminders after you add a leftover:
A: - You choose the cooked or purchased date and the estimated expiration date.
- In Settings, you choose how many days in advance you want to be notified (e.g., 3 days before expiry).
- Based on this, LeftoverMate schedules a grouped notification like: "You have 2 items expiring in 2 days."
