Fixed a severe error that could erase data if a cancel request was made during a copy operation. Fixed a possible crash while reading an export file into a new database.Added a function that will optionally copy all items that contribute to a slideshow if the original copy request did not include those items. Fixed the following bugs: Slideshow viewing may have been broken in some instances. File comparisons did not work correctly across databases. Inconsistencies with date formatting in text fields. Re-sort by date was not working correctly.

Bug fixes: Slide selection or deselection when a slide was enlarged did not toggle the corresponding title slide. An exported web folder did not necessarily display correctly page counts; the index button jumped to one page prior to the actual index page; titles now allow multi-line display beneath images. Copying a slideshow will now place the word "Copy" after the slideshow name, and if multiple copies are made will increment a counter after the word Copy, eg "Copy 2", "Copy 3", etc. Implemented some efficiencies in slideshow processing.

Exporting slides to a Web folder may not work correctly due to an incorrect setting for including slides. This has been fixed.

Fixed a race/collision issue that could block slideshows from loading. Improved folder selection when selecting folders and walks for slideshow production. Added a new main menu item that allows a cursory comparison between two folders or walk records to help validate duplicate items.

This update is a major upgrade that adds significant improvements and bug fixes. The biggest changes focus on file organization and slideshows. You can now organize records into folders, and three new viewing options—list view, folder view, and icon view—make it easier to browse your content. The slideshow module has been completely redesigned to give you more flexibility when working with titles, images, and audio. Slideshows also now form the foundation for sharing walks, whether by email, export files for direct transfer, or web folders.

A bug that caused a crash when "Saving all images to Photos" was selected has been fixed. The "Edit track" function in Track Options has been improved.

The bird list was upgraded to version 13.1 (2023). Several interface improvements and bug fixes. If menus are open on a walk page, the menus now remain visible and operational when the device is rotated. The bird-relevant setting now works properly: The bird list and additional info buttons are hidden when this feature is turned off.

Redesigned exported Web page with an optional interactive map showing the recorded track and locations of observations and images. PNG images can now be imported. Audio is now exported as MPEG for better compatibility with Web browsers. Various interface improvements and upgrades.

Accessing the new photo import routine no longer freezes the app when backing up to a prior screen. Photos imported manually into new walk records are now working correctly. Other minor bug fixes.

GPS coordinates are now saved with greater precision. Adjusted saving/cancelling operations for all screens with text views so that warnings are now posted if the user tries to cancel without having saved. The cancel and save menu items are also synchronized with whether the fields have changed from their original values either after entering the window or after the latest save. The fixGps screen has been improved so that new GPS coordinates can be more easily entered. Pressing the GPS coordinate field now copies the latitude & longitude to the clipboard. Displaying a map now uses coordinates taken every minute instead of more frequent intervals to reduce computation time. Cancel buttons were added to functions that could take a significant period of time. Set the creation date of exported files to match the original creation date of the corresponding records. Interactive mapes were still available, but a static image containing the path and any annotations was not generated. The sample walk record had become corrupted. This has been fixed. Copying, importing, and duplicating records, as well as producing web pages, could result in errors if text fields contained apostrophes. This has been fixed. An issue with producing web pages from slideshow-only that could result in unacceptably long image processing times has been fixed.

Various bug fixes and interface improvements. Both title and caption are now read while importing photos. Camera orientation starts with the back camera; its position is then retained unless it's manually changed. Imporing photos and audio files now uses GPS timestamps instead of observation record timestamps, as GPS data represent more accurately the full duration of the walk. An imported photo or audio can now be moved to either a different walk record or a new record, from its initial assignment.
