PODCube is a block puzzle stripped back to the part that actually feels good.
Drag a pod onto the 8x8 board. Fill a row or a column and it clears. Place quickly and you score more. Clear the whole board and the game changes its skin — twenty hand-built designs, from Reef to Midnight to Neon, each unlocked by playing well rather than by paying.
STREAKS
Clear on consecutive placements and the bonus climbs steeply. Two in a row is worth having. Five in a row is the top of the crescendo, and the game will tell you so.
IT SHOWS YOU THE PLAY
If a piece in your tray can clear a line right now, the tray marks it. Pick it up and the board outlines exactly where it lands. The hard part of a block puzzle was never being dealt a kind piece — it is spotting the placement.
