SHARPER, FASTER RADAR • Over the US, radar now steps every 2 minutes instead of every 10. • Rebuilt tile pipeline: the radar stays smooth as you zoom in instead of breaking into blocks. • Fixed the "API key required" watermark that had started appearing across the map. NEW — FRONTS AND PRESSURE Warm, cold, stationary and occluded fronts with high and low centres, from the National Weather Service surface analysis. Switch it on in the pull-down panel. WIND Wind streams are denser and brighter, and now cover the whole map. AROUND THE APP • The map opens over your location at an angle, then settles overhead. • The locate button re-centres and restores north. • The map opens in light mode by default; your choice is remembered. • The large home-screen widget shows the map again. • Your location updates after you travel without restarting the app.
