5. Floating Subtitles (System Audio PiP): Translate any app's audio in real-time! Your translated subtitles hover directly over your favorite streaming apps, mobile games, or podcasts as a customizable Picture-in-Picture window.

Q: How to translate console games without a capture card?
A: Subtify connects to your console over Wi-Fi and streams its screen directly to your iOS device. While you keep playing normally on your main TV, simply adjust the selection box inside the app to cover the original subtitles on the video stream. Subtify's OCR reads that specific area and displays the translated text on your iOS device in real-time.
Q: Can I translate PC games or streams?
A: Yes! Connect via Wi-Fi. Subtify scans your PC screen (OCR) or listens to audio (STT) to display translations on your phone.
Q: What if a streaming app blocks screen recording (DRM)?
A: Since Subtify's PiP mode relies on system audio, it seamlessly translates speech (STT) even on apps that block screen recording. However, if an app strictly blocks audio streams as well, or if you prefer to translate hardcoded on-screen text (OCR), you can switch to Subtify's built-in Web Browser Mode. Because it doesn't use screen recording, both OCR and STT work entirely restriction-free.
Q: How does the SRT feature work?
A: In the Local Video Hub, generate .srt files from imported media or load foreign .srt files to show over your video.
Q: Is it really offline?
A: Yes. With downloaded Apple language packs, all OCR and STT tasks process entirely on-device via the Neural Engine.
Q: Can it translate other mobile apps like games or podcasts?
A: Yes! By enabling the background audio mode, Subtify listens to your device's system audio via STT (Speech-to-Text). It transcribes and translates the speech, then seamlessly displays it in a native iOS Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window that hovers over your active app.
