更多 Bug fixes galore, visible activity notes, and some general cleaning up of the UI
Notes on the Now tab
- Activity notes now show in the Now tab while you're working through a routine. Tap to expand longer notes. You can finally make use of the notes you wrote in the activity editing screen.
On the Routines tab
- When you open a routine, your schedule info (times, type, which days it runs) is now at the top, and today's progress is below it
- The old Edit button is gone. Now, just tap the panel with your routine's details to jump straight into editing.
- Edit screens now have a simple label at the top and one clear place to type the name, rather than showing a confusing double title, making it unclear where you needed to tap.
- Your schedule info stays visible even on off days, so you can check your setup without waiting for a scheduled day
Other improvements and bug fixes:
- We fixed the phantom reminders firing for routines you never started. Most noticeably, the bundled “Travel” example routine was triggering this problem for everyone on first use. Not ideal! On-demand routines now only send idle reminders if you've actually started or scheduled them.
- We fixed idle reminder timing issues that were being seen when a routine had been skipped or completed from the Now tab view.
- The Up Next card on the Now tab view got a cleaner layout.
1.2.2 2月26日
This update fixes a visual timer glitch and makes it easier to send feedback:
- Fixed timer progress briefly showing incorrect elapsed time when starting. The circular timer now correctly starts at zero instead of flashing partway through before correcting itself.
- Added to the critical times sorting fix from 1.1.9. Critical times now stay sorted when you first create or edit them, not just when the app loads.
- Added visible feedback email address in Settings with a copy email button for users who prefer not to use the auto-started email route to get in touch.
1.2.1 2月26日
The notification bugs that were causing reminders even after activities were completed or skipped have been found and fixed!
- Idle reminders no longer fire for activities you've already completed or skipped. (The app now properly cancels and reschedules idle reminders whenever you complete or skip an activity, so reminders stay accurate based on what's actually pending.)
1.2.0 1月20日
We're back again after a big international move and we've fixed the ordering of critical times and routines in the Routines tab:
- Critical times now display chronologically (6am, 7:30am, 8:30am, 10pm) instead of in the order they were stored
- Routines now sort by their scheduled time on the Routine tab instead of displaying out of order
1.1.9 1月19日
We fixed a timer bug that reappeared in a recent version:
- Timer now stays on the correct activity when switching tabs and then switching back to the Now tab
- Previously, navigating away and back would reset to viewing the first activity of the first routine
- The app now properly finds and displays whichever activity has the active timer
This regression affected users who had multiple routines in progress at once. The timer state is now preserved correctly regardless of which routine contains the active activity.
1.1.8 2025/10/15
We fixed confusing bug in timeline display when routines wrapped around bedtime:
- Bedtime and critical times now appear in the right position when they split a routine into segments
- Previously these markers appeared much later in the list, making it look like there was mysterious buffer time between routine segments
- The timeline now clearly shows what's actually splitting the routine
1.1.7 2025/10/15
** After-midnight bedtimes! **
We're back, and we've fixed scheduling issues for night owls by adding a new setting:
- New "Day Starts At" setting in Settings > Scheduling
- Define when your day resets if you usually stay up past midnight
- Evening routines schedule properly before bedtime instead of being created as early morning routines
- Notifications arrive at the right times regardless of whether you have a pre- or a post-midnight bedtime
- Updated the tutorial routine to clarify that it will automatically disappear the next day
The day boundary defaults to midnight (current behavior), so nothing changes unless you adjust it. If you regularly go to bed well after midnight, try setting your day boundary to 2, 3, or 4 AM to leave yourself the room you need for the fluctuations you expect.
1.1.5 2025/09/18
New flexible timer selection lets you time any activity, not just the next one:
- Tap on or swipe left over the activity name on the Now tab to see available activities
- Choose which activities appear: current routine only, started routines, or all routines
- Configure your preference in Settings > Timer
- Default setting keeps you focused on your current routine, but you can adjust it to be as flexible as you'd like.
- After completing an out-of-order activity, you automatically return to the first pending one
1.1.4 2025/06/03
This update brings back idle timer reminders and fixes routine completion alerts:
- Routine completion alerts appear when you skip the last activity and not just when you complete it (which was a recently-introduced bug)
- Re-added idle timer reminders with a more reliable implementation
- Reminds you when you have pending activities but haven't engaged with the app for a while
- Configure reminder interval from 5-60 minutes in Notification Settings
- Uses pre-scheduled notification batches to work reliably even when the app is backgrounded
The idle timer reminders feature was temporarily removed in version 1.0.9 due to reliability issues. This new implementation is more robust and should work consistently whether the app is open or in the background, and should properly clear the reminders when they should be cleared.
1.1.3 2025/05/31
This urgent update fixes a recently-introduced timeline ordering, causing routine segments to appear out of order:
- Fixed completed activities causing timeline segments to appear in wrong order
- Timeline now properly handles completed activities again
- When events and critical times are scheduled at the same time, they now appear in the intended order
- Wake up and bed times now consistently appear at the correct positions relative to other timeline items
These changes make the daily timeline much more predictable and easier to follow, especially when activities are completed or when calendar events overlap with critical times.
The update also fixes several important issues, especially for the Beeminder integration:
- Beeminder datapoints will no longer be lost when an activity is check off while offline
- They're now automatically queued and submitted when internet returns
- Added notifications when queued Beeminder datapoints are successfully submitted after coming back online
- Improved Beeminder integration's architecture by centralizing submission logic across views
- Fixed app stability issues related to excessive calendar connections that could cause slowdowns
The Beeminder offline fix addresses a significant gap where progress could be lost due to poor connectivity. Datapoints are now preserved with their original timestamps and automatically retry when the connection is restored.
1.1.2 2025/05/27
This update introduces a new Show/Hide Completed feature
- Added "Show/Hide Completed" option to the Today tab
- Fixed the routine placeholders that were appearing in the wrong order for better clarity on schedule changes
- Fixed special characters in Beeminder comments so they no longer cut off when tracking activities with ampersands in their names
- Continuing preparation for overhauling to improve overall app performance and stability by optimizing the internal architecture
We're continuing to work on making TimeStream more responsive. As always, we welcome any feedback you have about the features you'd like us to add in future versions, as well as about any bugs you come across.

A note: we're working on refactoring the code to make the app more responsive. We know it gets laggy as more items are added and we're still working to fix that for you as soon as we can!
