Key Features: Authentic Drone Simulation: Experience drone flying in a realistic environment. VARPLE offers an authentic piloting experience, allowing learners to practice and perfect their skills. Unique Pilot's View Angle: Complying with the Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) Order in Hong Kong, VARPLE provides a unique view angle feature that simulates the pilot's perspective, enhancing training realism and legal compliance. VLOS Training and Local Law Compliance: Aligned with mandatory operational modes such as Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions, VARPLE educates users on local drone-flying laws, including the SUA Order, ensuring safe and legal piloting experiences. Controller Compatibility: VARPLE allows users to connect any Bluetooth game controller, offering a tactile experience that mimics real drone controllers. Visual Cues and Indicators: VARPLE simulates front and back lights for visual orientation, as well as battery, speed, and displacement indicators to provide comprehensive flight information. Self-Directed Learning and Pedagogical Affordance: VARPLE supports a self-directed learning approach and serves as a tool for drone-aimed learning (DAL), allowing students to learn at their own pace while expanding educational opportunities and applications.
