I was an early adopter of Syncplicity in a pre tablet era when it was featured along with Dropbox in The New York Times when they were launched. It was the very early days of cloud computing. They both cost the same and had the same features, so choosing which service was based basically on which name or logo you liked best. For no special reason I paid the hefty subscription to Syncplicity instead of choosing Dropbox, uploaded all my files and I have lived with peace of mind ever since knowing my files could never be lost again.The curious thing is that Dropbox and other such services took off, but NO ONE EVER speaks about Syncplicity. The media lists such services, but doesn't include Syncplicity. Even the NYT did another article mentioning the pros and cons of cloud storage services (Dropbox, Sugar, Skydrive, Google's service...) but left Syncplicity out. They were late to adopt an IOS app, but still, I've never understood why it became the black sheep or Cinderella no one speaks about.For me, it works just as well as Dropbox or any of its counterparts.
