BACKGROUND WAR-DRIVING (NEW) Your drive no longer stops when you leave the app. Turn on the new Background toggle, hit Start, then lock your phone or switch apps, and GPS plus device capture keep running. - Opt-in via the new Moon toggle on the Drive screen. - A notification shows it is recording, and clears cleanly when you stop or End the session. - Coming back to the app instantly refreshes the map and counts with everything collected while you were away. - Needs the "Allow all the time" location grant (on Android 11 and up that is set in Settings, and the app walks you there). SHARE CARDS (NEW) Turn any war-drive into a polished shareable card. - 6 layouts: Classic, Map (route over a stylised dark street map), Stats (big stacked numbers), Heat (device-density map with a hottest-zone marker), Noir (monochrome minimal), and Recon (a detailed intel report). - Export as a still image or an animated GIF flyby: the route draws itself in and the counters count up. - 3 colour themes (Heat / Noir / Pulse) that work with every layout. - Smooth continuous-gradient route lines. - The Recon card adds real recon detail: tracker count, high-risk devices, the share of randomised (private) MACs, top vendors, and peak device density per km. STATS AND UPLOADS - The account Stats page now uses tabs (WiGLE / WDGoWars) instead of stacking every platform in one long scroll. - Fixed WiGLE uploads. The top cause of failures was a silent 401 from pasting the wrong key. It now accepts either WiGLE's "Encoded for use" string or your plain "API Name:API Token" and encodes it for you. Exports also use WiGLE's canonical BLE format. MARATHON SESSIONS - Sessions now scale to roughly 500,000 devices and 30-hour-plus drives. - When a session hits the cap it auto-saves that segment to Drive History and starts a fresh one, so a huge drive is never lost and it no longer drops your weakest signals. - Session saves are chunked and non-blocking, so long drives do not hitch. PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY - Fixed a stall that could freeze Live and Hunt mid-session (a device-sequence wrap-around wedged the update stream). - New devices pin to the top of the Live list, smoother map panning, and lower memory on very large sessions. - Multiple stability, state, and security hardening passes. PRIVACY - Android no longer asks for photo-library read access. Saving cards and GIFs to your gallery is add-only. Heads-up: Background recording is opt-in and uses more battery (continuous GPS and BLE with the screen off) and shows a notification while active. Nothing changes if you leave it off.
