CBSS: Shelter & Emergency Plan
Offline family preparedness
Free · In-App Purchases
New: an AI assistant that works with no internet. Plus an emergency card, 112 in one tap, a household check-in board and offline handbooks.
CBSS helps households prepare calmly for emergencies, at home and on the move, including when the internet is down. It is made in Cyprus, with Cyprus official guidance built in, and its household tools work wherever 112 is the emergency number, including every EU country and the UK. The emergency tools are free and stay free.
EMERGENCY TOOLS
• Call 112 with one tap, with a confirmation step so you never dial by accident.
• Emergency Card: your key medical details and emergency contact, stored only on your phone and protected by the Keychain.
• Your coordinates, ready to read out or copy, with an honest accuracy estimate.
• Emergency numbers and links to official Cyprus services.
OFFLINE AI ASSISTANT
• Ask anything and get an answer with no internet. The Offline AI runs entirely on your iPhone, so it keeps working during outages, in airplane mode or in a shelter.
• It reads the CBSS handbooks on your phone and the CBSS guides, and shows which ones it used. It never unlocks handbooks you haven't bought.
• Your questions never leave your phone. The free AI model (about 1 GB) downloads once, when you turn it on. Needs iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
• The AI can make mistakes. In an emergency, call 112.
PREPARE YOUR HOUSEHOLD
• Household plan and check-in board: add the people in your household, agree two meeting points and mark who is safe or needs help. The board records what you know on your phone; it never claims a message was delivered.
• Return compass: save home, your shelter and a backup meeting point, then see the distance and direction back without internet.
• Supplies and expiry dates: track water, food, medicines and batteries, with optional reminders that never show item names on the Lock Screen.
• Readiness checklist and an offline readiness check.
• Pin the guidance you want at the top of the Emergency tab.
• Battery saver: a lighter mode for when your battery matters, without ever turning off calls or emergency alerts.
OFFLINE LIBRARY
• Search the handbooks on your phone and the CBSS guides without a connection, and open any chapter in one tap.
CBSS HANDBOOKS
• Twenty practical Cyprus preparedness handbooks in English, read offline inside the app with their printable forms. Four are free.
• Sixteen specialist handbooks (flats and shared buildings, blackouts, water, food, heat, earthquakes, wildfire, children and carers, pets, work, shelters, recovery and more) can be bought one at a time, in themed packs, or all together in the Complete Offline Library.
• A handbook downloads once and then stays readable without internet. Purchases are restored with your Apple Account.
QUICK ACCESS
• Siri, Spotlight and the Action button can open the emergency tools, your Emergency Card or the return compass.
PLAN A SHELTER
• Explore the LIGHT, SHIELD, FORT and CORE shelter series, sketch a private project outline, and contact CBSS when you are ready. There is no pressure and no fear-based selling.
PRIVACY
CBSS does not collect or track your data. Your household plan, saved places, supplies and Emergency Card stay on your device, and you can delete each of them at any time.
CBSS is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112 and follow the instructions of the Civil Defence and other official authorities where you are.
