In the past ten years i was and still i am using windy nearly every day. when on sea, mountains or in the city. Its a great tool and i am glad it works in free version like a charm. May be a bit confusing for a novice but once you get to it you font want to go elsewhere. The radar data isn't always working well and sometimes ir rains when windy says its a sunny day but already since it was still called windyti ten years ago every windsurfer on the Canary Islands was using it. Since then i traveled all around the world and it proofed itself to be a great app. Thank you! What would Columbus say if you showed hit this back than. Maybe one feature i miss and that would be some kind of saving of predictions to a memory for when i go offline for days. Now I have to take screenshots otherwise when I open app again without connection it just goes blank.Ok that's enough. See ya out there in the wind...

This is just superb app. As a frequent sailor I can't even imagine my life without it as it completely changed the way I sail. Thanks for that! Also every recent update was great all those new data that are being integrated - priceless!I even use it as a main weather app for daily use since it has everything. My only wish: The UI should be changed, app should become native as it is sometimes really painful to do something in this hybrid environment and also the UX should be better (it's really a bit clumsy and some UX designer should really rethink it). Simply put - the app started as a wind map, but nowadays it's also way much more so the UI should reflect that. Right now it's just the old wind map with a ton of new data and that makes it kind of messy and not that wasn't to use. Thanks!

It takes some time to learn how to use many features of Windy but its definitely worthy. Today I use the App not only to see how will be the weather like at many places which I am somehow tracking but as a pilot I can learn about the weather along my planed route much more than anytime before. The only inconvenience I see is, that a mobile user can’t easily profit of all Windy desktop features (it’s possible but a bit tricky - not user friendly). But it’s just a detail. For me is the App 👍🏻

It provides you a lot of information. Even greater for understanding the weather outlook when out on the sea. Wind, gusts, waves, streams, swells, temperature… I am not a pilot but I can imagine the bunch of other information that other outdoor activities can have a use out of this app.Synoptic chart would be great extension though.
