Experts’ opinion:
PCMag: “[Proton VPN’s] is a slick VPN with an excellent collection of advanced features, and it has the best free subscription plan we've seen. Few competitors can match its mix of affordability, features, and design. For all that, it gets a rare five-star rating and earns our Editors' Choice award”
TechRadar: “The completely free tier is something no other competitor [...] offers.
Wired: "The best VPN" "Overall, Proton VPN is very fast"
I really love ProtonVPN. The app is great with rare option to choose specific server in specific country which is great because sometimes the ip of specific server could get blocked and you can simply switch to another server. I love protonVPN idea of free VPN for all. In fact I had been using free plan for a few years when I couldn’t afford VPN subscription and it helped me a lot so I would like to thank you for it. I also became your paying customer now when I have work and your paid VPN is great. I am using it almost every day. Keep good work!

I love Proton, but the VPN has become very unstable over past few months. Additionally, half off my subscriptions doesn't work when I am abroad and switch to my home country (hbo, disney, my foreign bank account). Proton VPN became pretty much useless for me at this point. Would appreciate if it gets resolved or I'm switching to something else in the next billing year.

That doesn’t sound right. Could you share some more details about these issues? Are you receiving any error messages? Which specific servers are you connecting to? Have you tried switching protocols? Are you using any other VPNs on the same device? Are you using any firewall or antivirus? Contact us through the 'Report an issue' option in the app menu with more details so we can help you troubleshoot.
Amazing but without reasonable Premium

Great free and trustworthy VPN with quick and easy to use app. It's a bit sad that it doesn't offer any plan for holidays use only. I'm using the VPN mainly when traveling and it simply doesn't make sense to pay for expensive yearly subscription. So short-term premium with much affordable price would be greatly appreciated.
One of the best VPNs

Honestly, as a free user, I couldn’t be more happy. I am no expert when comes to phones nor PCs, but I feel save handling my IP adress to Proton. The app is easy to use and you don’t have to sign in at all and when you want to switch servers, you have to wait just few minutes to connect to different one. Thank you Proton!
