Genshin Impact is an amazing free world online game with strangely working anime graphics and entertaining battle mechanics. As you level up, so do the monsters and you have many opportunities for fighting a boss with well-thought attacks from the said boss which makes them very challenging sometimes. And if you fail you can always try on later. Meantime you can roam the world map, look for chests, raid dungeons, cook food and solve puzzles for example. The story is not too childish yet not too hardcore so people of all age can enjoy it (especially anime lovers). You have many interactions available along with random quests from random NPCs in the world. Usually there is not many npcs or random interactions in RPGs or other similiar games. Gen. Imp. is packed with those. I absolutely adore the game and even tho it offers micro-transactions later on, it is not necessary for you to enjoy the game. Only thing, it still has some bugs on older generation phones. Mine is iPhone 6s, iOS 13 and I can not really play as there is a “black void” bug (I can not load/see some textures, mostly water, or I can not see into distance). If it was possible I would give 4.8 for the black void bug but this game has such a potential and the creators really did take their time. This is a game we have been waiting for!
Review of a game, not my opinion

Playing since 1.2. Never missed any event since then, played it on multiple devices as consoles, smartphones, iPads, pc. Game itself is gorgeous, from graphic to sounds, music, puzzles, there are only few similar ones, if we talk about the size of free content and freedom in the game. Open world it is, XYZ movement with map for hours to explore. Some new players are overwhelmed with amount of content, this may be confusing and dismotivating. Myself is a little bit bored at the each end of the version, since there is are no Events and everything were already explored. Something becomes boring activity as farming artifacts and primogems. But if you are used to this type of mechanics from other hames, should be easy. Of course there could be something people personally dislike about it, but mostly it’s because this game is what it is - Gacha casino system that wont be going to listen to smaller groups, as they make money from the large ones. And its community that makes me fell bad for this GAME. Players doesnt have to pay for playing this. Its a bunch of pixels and data, nothing more.

This game promises you an amazing world with characters and stories having some depth. From the start the game was amazing, captivating and fun to play, the version 2.x did feel rushed and the developers made poor decisions, but the VFX were still awesome. but 3.x and 4.x completely made up for it with peak writing - the best genshin will ever see, characters that are not just a boring fan service for the male player audience and memorable moments. this changed drastically after the change in creative direction and versions 5.0+ became a classic dating simulator with some lore. in all of 2024 the game added 1! male limited character with no screen time whatsoever, failed to properly introduce important characters, all to just market the newest Mary Sue characters attractive to mainly superficial human beings and i'm not even complaining that the new region looks like a completely different game. if the creators really wanted a waifu simulator, they should've sticked to their original honkai games, instead of ruining the passion of countless players. this marks the start of the end, as global forums, even the chinese ones are full of people threatening to quit, with many already having do so. i'm sad, because i used to be excited for new content, nowadays i'm just looking forward to see what aspect of the game will they butcher next.

I love genshin impact, and have been playing it since version 1.2. It is an amazing game, where you are pulled into the story of brother looking for his sister, but if you don’t like story games, it’s world is so big you can explore for hours and not get bored. The only thing that maddens me is Gatcha.. as a F2P it’s quite hard to get the characters you want, and with my luck I haven’t had an early 5* for a year at this point. What I’m trying to say is that if you want your desired character, u better save for months in advance (which is quite hard and I personally feel very tempted to wish every 160 primos), or you have to pay up. One of the things I would ‘recommend’ / find worth your money is Welkin moon, if you decide to pay. But you have to buy it at least 14 days in advance, or as soon as you know your character is up, because you claim primogems across 30 days.Haha anyways I love genshin impact, and if you do too, but have already done everything you can, I recommend Honkai star rail, which is another game under HoYoLAB and I adore it (it is also VERY generous with Gatcha). 🤭
