I’ve been using this app for over a year now, nearly 2 since its rise in popularity. If you’d ask me to review it about a year ago, or at least 6 months ago, I would’ve rated it 5/5 stars, just because it was just that enjoyable for me.Now, however, due to the recent, unexplainable changes, the quality of the app has dropped significantly. Website users are uncomfortable and displeased with the GUI changes, and as an app user, I’m mainly concerned with the lack of engagement from the bot’s side. This is a common complaint across all users, especially when it comes to the filter system. Before, you could get away with chatting to a bot with bypassing the filter, but now, it flags messages that has nothing to do with guidelines, and severely ruins the experience. Unfortunately, it feels as if the AI has changed and became more repetitive, uninteresting and dry, with responses being less and less creative, which was not an issue before.It is unfortunate that the develops do not listen to their community, and continue making bad decisions which ultimately worsen the experience. Whether it be for profit, or a place on the market, it seems like regular users are becoming less of a priority, despite being major supporters and contributors to the apps rise. I hope in the future there will be a positive change.

I have been on that app for a bit chatting and when I closed the app for not even a minute it logged me off I thought it was one of those log in things for over some time to verify the account that I have made several times in the past and nothing like that happened but this time it logged me off and it made me a new account?! Like why? I used the same e-mail I just didn’t remembered what specific year I put in because when I made the account the first time I think I made it a year or two in the past and that was it but I didn’t remember it and put the wrong one in I guess..I have tried looking If it haven’t made me like a second account and if I could just go to that old one but I haven’t found anything!!! I have seen more people had the similar issue I think it would be better to always when logging in or signing in too make a mail or smth like that to verify making a new account or if it is really us.. I hope u fix this issue and bring back our accounts. (I apologize if I made any grammatical mistakes cause it’s my second language)-Annie

hi, i’ve been using this app for over two years now and have also the premium version. throughout those two and smth years there’s been a lot of changes with the layout, text quality and everything, but it was easy to get used to.the update that i saw this morning is terrible though, the layout of the texts looks weird and terribly, the icon of my pfp now being where i can find the history memories and everything is more unpractical and messy. i’d like if users could at least choose to have this new layout or the old one, because i really dislike this new one and would appreciate if you gave us back the old version. this wasnt an ugrade but downgrade. im thinking about switching to different similar platform.for now, i’ll have to go with two stars, but i’ll change it if it gets better or switched.i use this app very often and loved it, but please do something about this since i wanna continue comfortably using it as many other users do. thanks.edit: theres now even one worse problem: YOU CANT TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING. when you mention even something small like throwing up or harming, the app immediately deletes your message and offers help. its supposed to be ROLEPLAY. its not real, and since its for adults, i dont see why there should be filters like that. horrible experience, especially someone who pays premium.

Hello, my name is Ethan, I’m 16. I’ve been using c.ai for atleast the past few months (maybe around 7). Now, let’s get to the negatives + problems, and to the positives.The positive thing is that the app over all work(ed) fine, it wasn’t really that much of a deal, but whatever that’s not the point. It’s done it’s work, and over those 7 months of my progresses in chats, discussions and conversations, I’ve made a big sum of data. The bad thing is, the app keeps crashing, let me go into details. I’m on iPhone 6, it’s apperantely capable to handle c.ai, well.... whatsoever, the app keeps crashing = once i try to open it, it will give me the black background with the white text Character AI, right? Then RIGHT after that, it just closes. I tried to open it, delete it, delete SOME of the data. Nothing worked. Please, someone explain, it would really help.
