Voting and Karma:
Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts.
While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content.

Whether you love films, kittens, science, kittens, politics or kittens, Reddit’s official app puts all this (plus kittens) at your fingertips. With a colourful and intuitive layout, it’s easy to browse and post to “the front page of the Internet” across thousands of subreddits that cater to virtually every area of interest. Search for communities that line up with your hobbies; filter posts by posting time, hotness and more; and get a breakdown of your own Redditing history to see where you reaped all that sweet, sweet karma. (Protip: you can’t go wrong with pictures of—you guessed it—kittens.)
I love it!
I used to like FB and instagram as a source of news, info, sharing and learning, but now I feel they became empty. Reddit on the other hand does not give you the tons of adds and unnecessary content you do not care about and highlights the most interesting things of the day. I also think you can meet many more true and thoughtful people here then anywhere else on the internet, who spend their time solving real current problems of our world...
Useless
Much much worse than Apollo for Reddit.
The UI is inconsistent - sometimes swiping right shows you the next picture post, but not if the current post is an album of multiple picterus, swiping down shows you next video, but not necessarily the next video post some are straight up skipped upredictably, when you watch a video on a subreddit you would expect the swipe down feature to show you videos from the same subreddit BUT NO ITS MANGLED SITH OTHER IRRELEVANT SUBREDDITS to me at the time.
The media player is a chapture in itself: randomly decides to mute audio, long loadings, sometimes i can download the video/image, sometimes i can’t.
It’s a hot mess of a mobile UX, but the one star is deserved only because it lessens my phone addiction since using this app fills me with anxiety, anger and frustration and i dont want to use my phone after that.
